What do you think?!?!
Ok guys I am fairly new to this site but here is my question....I have a 09 Nismo 370z with the following bolt on mods:
I am going to go get a tune/dynoed (i know it depends on what tune and dyno you use) and I was wondering with the right tune what should my nismo put down to the wheels apx. Just wondering what everyone else thinks. Oh and what tune should i go with? Osiris? Thanks everyone and ill be posting up videos of the dyno with numbers :) P.S. Anything else that can help me get some power after i get this tune any help will be greatly appreciated and followed with a little rep  |
You can't really say or speculate on this. There's so many different variables from mods to the dyno itself. Don't worry about the small things. I would recommend the Uprev and have it tuned at Forged Performance for the best results.

Gotta just get it tuned, and see what happens.

^yeah i understand ya just get it done and then you will know right. i was just wondering what it might range in thats all.

I'm not quite sure what numbers to expect, but based on my forum research, an UPREV tune is the way to go. |
One million.

It's a Nismo so it will be one million and twenty.

Your exhaust setup will yield good power and torque, the intakes will help with peak power, the pullies are pretty much useless and mess up engine harmonics in the long run. I'd say between 315-335whp depending on the dyno.

I was about to purchase a set of pulleys, however after having a discussion about it with Alex at Performance Motorsports he simply told me that while it is a cheap way to get a few HP in the long run it will mess up your engine harmonics. I took his word on in, I know he's seen more VQ motors than I have.

Then they determine what rev's/ratio the other components need to run at in order to work effectively and then those sizes are determiend that way. Not really much to do with harmonics. Actually in today's world since Alternators and A/C compressors are made generic, they get those first and based on that determine the size of the crank pulley. So i can't see it really hurting "harmonics" but if someone gets the underdrive ratio wrong, it will hurt the electrics via the alternator not being as efficient. The A/C doesnt really get hurt it just wouldnt be as effective. As for the OP, i sent a PM. light weight 2-piece rotors will free some some weight which doesnt increase HP, but lets more get to the wheels. After that, you could change the gear ratio but again that doesnt increase HP, just makes the car a bit quicker at the sacrifice of gas mileage and sound (cus at cruising you will be at a higher rpm than before) |
