Where Do You Keep Your Loose Change

I always use the ash tray to keep my loose change. But there is no ash tray in the Nis. I've tried the cupholder but that doesn't work too well. What does everyone else do?

I used the cup holder or the cubby. But usually loose change would slip through the cracks a d fall out of the cubby under acceleration.

The best solution I found was to get a very plain button or zip coin purse type thing to keep the change together. Then You just put it in the cubby, cup holder, console bin, or door storage area.

Usually I just drop them in the cup holder.

Turfgod 01-16-2011 10:10 AM

I keep the change in my pocket and put it in jar at home. Now days with ATM there is not a lot of change floating around. Maybe you could try a change purse in the glove box. Just kidding, no offense. I just like a clean empty car with nothing rattling or moving around.

Honestly, if you want to keep the change, a little change purse thing isn't a bad idea.

After my 09 touring sport was totaled I pulled the center console tray out and placed it in my Nismo. Beside the cup holder in the tray there is a slot (for what I don't know) but that is where I keep my change.

+1 for the change purse

mick 01-16-2011 12:38 PM

i put a plastic cup in the cup holder and then throw the loose change in there.

35mm camera film container=less noise/ rattle, holds all your change is in one spot.

Nismoracer 01-17-2011 08:00 PM

Cool ideas. But I think I'm going to take out the 3 dead switches in the center console just before the cupholder and use that space to make a coin whatever holder.

Ron 01-17-2011 10:22 PM

good idea! post pics when ur done!

I'm married and don't have loose change, I don't have loose notes either.

Come to think of it, there must be a coin and note rat in the garage somewhere .... riffles my wallet and pants pocket as I get out of the car in the evening .....

Anyone else have this problem ??

I want a Z 01-18-2011 08:21 AM

Buy a fifth of crown royal! Makes a great change holder. A few pens, tire pressure gauge, cell phone charger, and a crown royal bag full of change fit perfectly in the center console. I keep alot of change to pay for car washes and quick touch ups. Very rarely do i drive the car and not stop by a car wash to touch up on the way home.

wishihadnav 01-18-2011 05:28 PM

i keep all my change under the seat...as they fall out of my pocket and end up there..haha

Nice idea - but seriously you wash the thing everytime you use it? (Mine's filthy right now - covered in Oklahoma salt, sand, and crud.)

Usually unless it was just a quick 5 minute trip. But generally when I drive it I get out for an hour or so. I'll usually use a quick detailer once I get home even if i don't stop by the car wash on the way home. Helps I have 2 car washes within a mile of my house also and its cheap and its just more time i get to admire my Nismo

Well, I do have to admit that I have some "spray it youself" car wash tokens in my loose change nearly all the time.

The purple bag is a good idea....and I happen to have a couple. ;)
