and the slits do nothing!!! there is no way for air to escape back there unless you cut up your rear fender liners.

No need to cut up your rear fender liners. It actually works perfect when you reverse the car.

If you guys take a look at the rear fender liner it should have cutout patterns that can be dremeled out.

The 350Z Nismo has slits in it which allows air to escape...

It is easier than that.
There is a piece which can be just taken out and it will open up the rear for air to vent through. Probably more stable to just cut it as you are removing a piece that might provide some support to the rear bumper from flexing.
