Road Trip.. Picking up my Nismo
 

Taken a road trip from KC to NY over the weekend .. Was going to have the car shipped just getting tired of the wait! So I'm flying out to KC on Friday and hitting the road sat morning around 1300 miles!

hey man im super excited for you but even the manual says not to do extended long drives during break in. unless your going to vary your speeds constantly and stay off the freeways then sure! but if you plan on hitting the cruise control at 80mph and going 100+ miles id say no way!!!

Thanks guys. It will be fun just want to get the car home. As far as breaking it in like the manual says ill take the gamble. Between all the cars ,boats ,motorcycles i have owned over years i don't think i ever adhered to the so called "break in procedure" and never had any issues at all. Ill keep that in mind when I'm doing 100mph lol.

:nutswinger:yeah that's me balls all out! looks like the weather will cooperating its a tuff time of year to be taking a road trip in a z car .. a nismo no less.

I figure around 1200 miles 20hrs should be a blast... and i know ill be the only z nismo on the east end on long island!!!

I drove my Z from DC to STL to get my Mustang. It was a fun trip. :tup:

Well i did it KC to NY.. So much for weather reports! Snow Snow Snow.. I guess i cant say my car never seen snow! I love the car it was fun it ran really good left kc sat around 12 noon there time arrived back home around 3pm Sunday .. Had to stop around 3am sat got a room for a few hrs got back on the road around 7am.. Man i hit snow from Mo to Pennsylvania . I'm not talking blown out snow storms but dusting and ice! All in all it was a fun safe trip.

Awesome. Glad you made it back safe. I pick my NISMO up a few days after redeploying from IRAQ. Hot Springs, AR to Killeen, TX. Like you, I got snow once I hit Dallas. With VDC, ABS, S-Mode, and a (somewhat) competent driver, the NISMO is very forgiving compaired to other (sports) cars.
