Lol, I already answer questions like "Is that a Nismo?". If it didn't say it on the rear, I can't imagine how many more questions would be asked.

I think a completely bare butt would look too plain but you never know. Perhaps a quick photochop would be easy enough to get the idea.

i dont want to have to do any body work to remove the hamburger circle on the bumpers

Dpeters 11-17-2010 06:03 PM

Gotta say Fuct, that does look good. I might consider this as well but my car's a year old and I don't want to sweat removing emblems that have been there for a while.

Waiz 11-17-2010 06:58 PM

I say leave them, it completes the rear IMO

crash1369 11-17-2010 08:30 PM

People keep asking me if it's a Porsche... admittedly though after looking at pics on here of allot of the cars with body kits I can see the resemblance, not so much stock though.

I was thinking about pulling the 370z badges off the back and replacing the Nissan ones with big "Z" badges front and rear instead. But I can't make up my mind. which means I'll probably just take the lazy/ cheap way out and leave it alone :D

That's a food point I hadn't thought about, what do you think the time limit for "easy removal" would be? My car was sitting around at dealerships for awhile before I got it, it's probably approaching a year old or so I'm not sure. But winter is also fast approaching so after that it's probably to late right? (I know you can always take them off and there are ways to get the glue off, I'm just talking about with minimal work after the fact)

Need heat, dental floss, and some good 3M quality solvent (non-paint reactive of course) and it's cake walk...don't know about the hamburger emblems and if they are 3M'd attached or go through, but can't imagine they'd spend the money to do that this day and age.

I replaced the hamburger on the front of my Z with a "Z" b/c I didn't like the way the hamburger looked.
And I don't look at the back of my Z very often; even though every body else does! :rofl2:

i take very good care of the paint, plus she has only been on the road since July. I say after 2-3 years of poor upkeep then yea you might see a dif in the paint.

Thanks guys. I'm still on the fence about what I want to do with my badges but it sounds like I have plenty of time to think about it then.

Anyone consider removing the hamburgers completely, having the holes filled, preped, painted? Obviously this isn't the cheap or the easy way out but if it's done correctly I think it would look great. How much do you think a body shop would charge?

torpedo2k 01-12-2011 05:30 PM

I'm paranoid about getting paint/clearcoat to match. I wont do it, but I like the idea. I am going to switch the cheeseburger for a Z logo.
