Reading Nismo Plate Number?

Hi i had the dealer send me over my nismo plate number.
Might be a dumb question but is the last 4 numbers the actual number?
The number reads Z34 09 0290?

Thanks

:iagree:

In Japan enthusiasts commonly refer to cars by thier chassis code instead of thier name. That's why on the last gen RWD Corolla lots of people call them Hachi-Roku "86" in Japanese. That cars chassis code was AE86. Or different gen 240SX's S13/14/15.

Being that this car goes by a different name in the US (370Z) and Japan (Fairlady Z) it makes sence they put that on there instead.

Little car nerd trivia for ya.

Grats on the car

That's interesting you guys would get a kick out of the ZXR i had back in the day. The ZXR remind me of the nismo, back in 1979 they made only 1009 of them limited edition it had a whale tale and ZXR decals. The car had the same power plant as the other Z cars accept was a bare bones with no a/c roll up windows vinyl seats.Check out the link some history on the ZXR.
280ZXR Page All my buddies were driving z28s and trans ams but the funny thing was everyone wanted to drive my car!! All in all i had to sell it the insurance was insane and a 19yo kid just starting out the car had to go. But the memories lived on for sure!!
