Nismo Fuel Pickup Problem
Ok, I know most of you do not track your Nismo so just ignore this post. For those of you that do I have a question.
Over the past 3 DE events I have found that as I have gotten faster I now have a problem with the Nismo. It has to do only with big fast sweeping right hand turns. If I have less than ¾ of a tank of fuel – as I finish the turn the Nismo gets fuel starved for about 1 second – it just completely cuts out. It happens in the exact same place on the track every time on the hot laps. I figure I will now need to add some sort of baffle in the gas tank but I thought I would see if anyone else has had this experience and if so what did you do for it? |

at this point. Travis is working with a redesigned tank, and phunk might have a solution for us at some point also.

Isn't Travis just going with a traditional fuel cell? That is what I remember, but the baffled tank would be a great option to have available too.

I can't wait to see what others are working on. Thanks everyone for helping me on this issue. |
I'm working on a sump pump/swirl pot setup, but it seems that 99% of members on here will not be needing it. More than likely it will be one-off but if there's enough interest I may produce it.

why dont they just do something similar to aircraft and make the tube exiting the pipe have a venturi effect and have a low pressure high velocity point in the tube leading to an extra pump that is connected to the fuel tank that will decrease the chance of fuel starvation and maybe save a little on weight depending on the size of the suction tube. idk just a thought.
