Just got a 2010 NISMO 370Z

Is there anything that I should look for in defects in the car to start out....

I have about 5k that I can drop into mods and am looking for the most bang for the buck, was looking at dual intakes but thats about as far as I got sooo my question to you guys is if you had this car and 5k for mods... what would you do?

Thanks

look around the forum there is a lot of knowledge here, you will find a lot of pre and post dyno's of certain parts that you can utilize to choose your mods, but first off just enjoy the car and learn how it drives, break it in!
congratulations btw!

Supercharger! Did you like, pay for most/all of the car already?

SkiZzors 04-25-2010 11:14 PM

yea, sold my Civic Si for 20k i owed 9k and i had 10k saved up so i dropped 21k upfront and I'm in the military so I got a great deal

Jeffblue 04-25-2010 11:17 PM

Cool. Yea a supercharger is probaby the one thing that yu could drop that money on that everyone would be jealous of.

What year was your civic ? How mch was it new?

SkiZzors 04-25-2010 11:19 PM

yea but the 370s have dual intakes... would i gain more out of a twin turbo?

shabarivas 04-25-2010 11:24 PM

yea a good tt job would run upwards of 8k + maybe another 3/4k install + misc parts...

a good SC job would be about 6k + 2k for labor + tune? ...

either way the car is a LOT more capable than what you are used to ... so get used to it before you go and add another 150whp only to find you dont like how it drives with all that added power...

SkiZzors 04-25-2010 11:31 PM

yea i have to break the car in for sure first

travisjb 04-25-2010 11:33 PM

if you're just using it on the street, i agree with others, leave it alone for 12 months, save up another few grand, then drop in an SC if you still want more power... by then, you'll want to upgrade the wheels/tires too, so save $3-4K...

given you are in a hot climate, you might think about adding an oil cooler

if you are planning to take to the track, let us know, as recommendations will change

SkiZzors 04-25-2010 11:35 PM

na streets, not a track guy

You made out real good on that sale then.

You need to check your suspension and make sure the brackets have been removed.
