Leather Nismo Recaro seat

My 5 week old Nismo is showing wear on the bottom leather bolster after just 1700miles. Noticed 3 very minor blemishes 2weeks ago which has increased dramatically. Anyone else experienced a similar issue. Will be making a warranty claim for a new seat.

Hmm... I don't have those kinds of marks on mine. I've had my Nismo for a little over 2 years now.

How do you get out of your car? Do you slide yourself out? I tend to avoid the bolster as much as possible so that it doesn't bend the leather in any way. It's a little tricky, but I'm used to it now and it's helped with maintaining the look.

with that being on the console side, there's either a weird defect in the leather, or you have something in your pocket on that side constantly that is causing it to wear

Its not the console side, its a RHD UK car.

Yeah, that is not normal. I hope Nissan replaces that seat for you.

hell I would just replace the seat with a real racing seat not these flashy recaros. mine has 13000 miles with some slight cracking in the bolsters..i would rather just have full alcantara instead

I am waiting for the OP to update us on the outcome.

You need to be careful getting in and out of the car especially if you're wearing jeans. I did have some wear on the top outside bolster but I was able to camouflage it with a leather renewal product. I've now learnt to always keep the leather treated and protected with a good leather care product and I do not slide into my seat. I lift myself over and into the seat, at the same time protecting the top outside bolster with my hand. It is a pain in the a$$ but I still love these seats.

Wow! You did good. My Nissan dealer would’ve said NO, shown me the door and told me to be more careful next time. Obviously it varies from dealer to dealer. It’s good to see that Nissan is standing behind their products, even when its wear and tear.
