Found it, so it's just filter's that are larger in diameter and stacks with a different contour /bend? And we need to replace crash bar for fitment (additional 200 bucks) Hmmmmmm

I have same color Nismo...loving it. I went with the 400hp kit from Z1 and zero regrets. Feels awesome!

Researching this mod, and sales rep at Z1 did say i "might have to take a bracket/bracing off that are not really needed and don’t come on the base models."
Anybody run into this and know what brackets he's referring to?

Pretty sure it refers to the hood latch support brackets. Had to remove mine for intercooler piping as well... so far no ill effects.

So do you have to remove the front end every time you change the filters out?

You have to remove the front end every time you clean your filters. The filters are reusable, just like the K&N filters.

All my brackets are in place...I removed them for easier install access, but put them back on.
I added a sandwich plate between the filter base & adapter plate,,,so I could support the filters up evenly & not let the just rest on crash bar.
Also, all of my foam is intact.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...13e82883a1.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...948c4851f2.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...884c54ecbe.jpg

So fitment is definitely not an issue, I should be able to remove bracket, install C.A.I. put bracket back on and be good to go correct?

jchammond 03-31-2017 10:46 AM

Yep, just be prepared to spend quality time on it,,,as everything is snug
