This is not the time to buy a C7 yet and the Z06 can be had for less than MSRP once there is more than enough supply. The base MSRP for a C7 Z06 is about $78k and by the time there are many of them, discount, as I predict, can be as high as $15k. You just can't buy now, wait for about 3-4 years. The time to buy a Corvette is in the middle of production years or at the end when the next generation is about or already out.

As for me, my Z car and my Corvette fill two different positions. One doesn't replace the other; I'd be pretty pissed if I had to replace my Z06 with a 370Z.
