I tried telling the OP but he doesn't want to listen. It's a non issue and now they're taking apart his engine and ******* around. Might want to use Google search next time and save yourself the hassle...

Oh you drive a nissan Z car with a VQ? Get yourself a code reader and stand by to clear lol.

Anyone that tells you they haven't had some BS SEL light pop up is lying. Clear it and drive. Want peace of mind? New plugs, new mafs, new coil packs, new cats, and new O2 sensors. Then when the code comes back and you get the usual, you'll know it's all BS.

Never through a code here. Neither have many of the Z's in my area. The few that have popped up were because of test pipes w/o a tune. Can't really say the 4-5 Z's I know are plagued with throwing codes.

Miss fire on #5 either bad coil pack, bad spark plug, or bad valve.

The first time they would've told me that an oil change caused a cylinder misfire I would've said "keys please"!!! These noobs obviously no jack Shiit about cars, it said cylinder 5 misfire........... Okaaaaaaaaay, then check cylinder 5 buttwash, SMFH!!!

Hey I had the same problem with my 09 sport touring model. Had the code read at a Nissan dealership and they told me it was due to "random misfire of a cylinder"

I get the same misfire and or high idle. seemed to happen when it got cold. i just unplug the battery and it goes away.
