Rear fog light
Can anyone help with the (fog light ??) at the rear of the Z. It is just below the Licence plate. I would like to have this operational but not sure about parts and hookup. I was told by the dealer this is a fog light used in Japan. Can I make it work in the US?

I don't know how much this would Help? but here are two threads on the DiY install for the Standard Model your version maybe be different. Unfortunately not to many roadster owners have done this to have a DiY for your particular model. Unless someone with a Roadster can Chime in with this Mod to help :tiphat:. http://www.the370z.com/diy-section-d...p-install.html http://www.the370z.com/diy-section-d...re-w-pics.html |

Welcome to the forum and congrats on the new 370z. You have joined one of the arguably, best car communities in the world.
At Z1, we offer an installation kit with wiring harness, instructions, diagram etc for around $18 without the fog light. The installation is simple and can generally be completed within an hour or so. Check out our kit and JDM fog light here: Z1 Motorsports JDM Reverse Fog Light and JDM Reverse Fog Light Installation Kit The switchable harnesses will run you around $100+. Our kit is much more afforable and does not require a massive amount of time and removal of interior panels. Again WELCOME! |
I found a DiY for your Roadster.

zdad, I saw in the 370z forum I think you can use the wire from your license plate light to make it like a taillite. may not be legal, and i guess could overheat?????

USDM Z isn't pre-wire for fog? All I would need is foglight harness kit and rear fog?

Real rear fog light at this site:
Nissan 370Z Lamps / Lighting and I'm trying to tap in to the parking light with the standard harness wires on the right side of the rear fog light housing. Also check out this site for more info: http://www.the370z.com/diy-section-d...re-w-pics.html I need to find out which color wire to use. You can see the main harness junction in the trunk. I'll post my finding in a week or two. |

If you are deadset of getting the turn signal stalk to include the fog lights. See about getting the Canadian-spec switch. You might be able to call up a dealership across the border and have it shipped over. The Canadian-spec models are LHD and have the Reverse Fog Light from the factory.
I don't have a part number, but it should be pretty easy for a dealership to source. |

Here's a link to another store Courtesy Nissan, but if you can find left hand drive version, I would go with that. Nissan JDM Rear Fog Lamp Kit - 2009 370Z :: Nissan Parts, NISMO and Nissan Accessories - Courtesyparts.com |

Make sure you are getting either of the following for the JDM Reverse Fog: 25560-1EP0B 25560-1EP0C I can get them if you like, PM me for pricing and availability. I am looking into the Canadian-spec options now. |
The car is prewired, but the relay, fog light stalk is not on there. Most people will add a switch/relay to turn it on and off or wire it up to brake light etc.

Installing fog light (My way)
Hi,
I brought the fog light and installed it connecting to my license plate light. Use the red wire in the trunk wire harness near the license plate. Light stay on with the parking lights. Lou |
I bought the EVO-R rear fog light and spliced it into my taillight harness so that the light is on with my parking lights and flashes when my brake lights illuminate.

:tup:The brilliant silver is a very nice color. Even the Frontier looks sporty with it.

I emailed to Canada Nissan dealership about the Canadian stalk switch for cost and if able to have it ship out as stalk alone. :stirthepot: *cross finger* |

I am going to order those foglamp switch with harness. The Z Store! Nissan-Datsun 240Z-260Z-280Z-280ZX-300ZX(Z31/Z32)-350Z-370Z Parts: Rear Fog Light Harness & Illuminated Switch, 09-12 370Z Expensive as it seem but it worth it for cleaner look for interior. |
You can buy a heated switch if not and rewire that to work with the fog light. Keeping the stock look. I think that harness is too much $$.
I think the stalk would still work, car is all prewired anyways. |
Part numbers for switch assy - combination (stalk)
"So far, I found out that the Canadian part manager said the stalk will not work on our Z because the their stalk only work for Canadian BCM module."
That is an incorrect dealer statement (not surprising). The BCMs, left body wiring harness and main wiring harness change almost every year, but the control stalk remains the same part number. In 2010, the USDM and MEXDM BCM part numbers matched. Basically, if you have the rear fog light wiring in your left body wiring harness, it should work. 2011 USDM (base) wire harness, main: 24010-1TH0A wire harness, left body: 24014-1TG0A controller assy-BCM: 284B1-1ET6C switch assy-combo (stalk): 25560-9N00B (this is the same stalk that CADM NISMO receive) 2011 CADM (base) wire harness, main: 24010-1TH0A wire harness, left body: 24014-1TG0A controller assy-BCM: 284B1-1EJ5D switch assy-combo (stalk): 25560-1EA0C 2011 MEXDM (touring, no base avail) wire harness, main: 24010-1EZ0A wire harness, left body: 24014-1EH0B controller assy-BCM: 284B1-1EA5D switch assy-combo (stalk): 25560-1EA0C --------------------------------------------------------------- US stalk: 25560-9N00B (lame USDM) $170  Canada/Mexico stalk: 25560-1EA0C (no rear wiper) Arabian/Argentinian/Brazilian stalk: 25560-1EL0B (with rear wiper) Euro stalk: 25560-1EL5A (daytime running lights; no rear wiper) Euro stalk: 25560-1HA7A (daytime running lights; with rear wiper) Japan stalk: 25560-1EP0B (RHD yo!) :ugh2: |
