About 2 hours to go...

...till I pick up my new, red/grey, touring + sport + nav, 6mt...!
Pretty sure I'll be taking the rest of the day off as it's sunny and 67 F here.

Actually tried for a Cherry from a remote dealer but they wouldn't deal.
Itchin' for the car - upgrading my nice weather car from a '08 Miata...

I hear ya !!!!!

Drove off the lot at six PM. Drove into my garage at ten :)
I love this car. It is so much of an upgrade over the Miata. I only drove the Miata on top-down days (4,000 miles in two years) because top up was just as noisy without sun & wind. The Z is amazing top up or down. Better wind buffeteing down & quiet like a coupe with the top up. Slept with a grin no doubt!

Pics today if there's time.

I went from an '06 MX-5 to a 2010 370Z Roadster.

I do miss the little Miata -- great, tossable car that was much more capable and serious than most gave it credit for being. It was light and responsive and fit like a glove.

The Z, however, is in a different world. This is a real sports car, with the power and refinement to match. The Miata was a go-kart by comparison. Go-karts are fun, but a Z grabs you by the balls.

Great choice. Enjoy!

Congrats. Anxious to see the Red/Grey color combo.

Looks beautiful!
Pictures do not do this car justice!
I've seen a silver one and that thing was gorgeous.
Congrats and welcome to the greatest 370z forums in the world.

Nice slide show. Beautiful color combo. This is the first weekend this month I haven't been able to go topless on my Saturday errands -- beautiful all week and in the 40s today ... go figure.

T+S+N+Roadster... i think that's pretty much the most you could get/spend on a Z! Congrats! nice car!

Nice! Like the presentation too…..good work!

It's raining today so we took the A3 to work :(
Hopefully tomorrow will be sunshine. As for the price, if you're going to go 2/3rds of the way, might as well go for the whole thing :)

Hey, you traded in the Miata for the Z?! Miata is a bit underpowered, but otherwise it's a sweet little Sports car! Pity!

Mize 03-22-2010 01:54 PM

I did the Miata on a 2-year lease to see if I liked the convertible thing. Both I and the wife love the little car. Quite the go-kart! Very easy to toss the back end out through turns (must turn off DSC). With the lease coming due we both wanted to either buy the Miata or some other convertible so I made the push for the 370z. Right now I have both for a couple months and I still like the Miata, but there's really no comparing the two.

I actually considered buying out the lease and putting a turbo on the Miata. The NCs can get about 260 bhp at the wheels with a good turbo system...

Amazing that many of us have the MX-5 to Z experience -- I went from an 09 MX-5 to a 10 ZR -- no regrets (with maybe the exception of the bath I took trading in a 9 month old Mazda with 2K).....

Congrats Mize on the new ZR!
