New AU Roadster owner

Hi, I bought a new Cherry Red 370z A/T soft top on 31st October 2019. Just got my forum membership approved a few days ago. It is quite an unusual colour here in Sydney for any Z car. The only other Z I have seen in this colour was a 2018 Z Roadster M/T in the showroom, I should consider myself lucky to have been able to see one in real life as it is almost impossible to see any Z model in a showroom. I am very happy with the car after waiting about 4 months for the car to be built and delivered. I must be pretty unique in buying the 370Z for its looks, without having any idea that it is a fast car, and have no intention of ever taking it to the track, therefore plan to keep it completely stock. I bought a Nissan Patrol in 2005 and kept it completely stock as well, and its still running pretty sweetly with just regular maintenance. I hope I get the same life out of this one as well. So far I have done only 1500 kms. I plan to run in this one as gently as I have done 3 other cars bought from new over the years. None of them use a drop of oil between changes, hence will stick to this proven method.
I ceramic coated it myself and it came out looking like glass.

Welcome to the 370Z forums and congratulations cherry red is one beautiful color on the Z. As long as you follow the Nissan general maintenance schedule and do all your general maintenance on time our Nissan 370Z’s are one of the most reliable/dependable sports cars in the vehicle market. Definitely research the forums here and your tastes will change more than likely in the future. You can do modifications to our Z cars and they will still be reliable/dependable vehicles to own. Great job doing ceramic coating on your Z!

Welcome mate, nice car. I am just up north from you in Newcastle and have a roadster in the rouge red. Had mine for 18 months and absolutely love it. No problems with these cars, although the roof can have some problems just like all convertibles. Plenty of advice though on this excellent forum, there is also a dedicated roadster folder if you haven’t already seen it.
Be sure and join the Official Sydney Fairlady Z Owners club on Facebook, They organise plenty of social runs, mainly 370z, a member also has a cherry red roadster as well - Enjoy:driving:

What a giant load of codswallop!

Regardless of your maintenance schedule and care level, the design flaws and reliability issues of this vehicle will continue nickle and $1000 and $10000 dollar you to death. Just wait till Nissan tells you to spend $13k on a new top (that still will not work for more than a few months).
