Another Roadster in Texas

So, I had the paperwork started on a 2010 370Z Coupe. Right before I signed up, though, I looked out the window (clear, cloudless and 58 degrees) and saw my MX-5 sitting there awaiting appraisal. I knew I'd regret losing the ragtop by March, if not sooner, so I told the guy to restart the paperwork on a 370Z Roadster.

I got a 2010 Platinum Graphite Touring with Sport 6MT Roadster. Drove it home with the top down, seat heaters on high and heater blowing full (the sun was going down by the time I was driving home and taking the temp with it.

Love the car. I've owned more expensive BMW droptops, and I'll honestly say that this one is better.

I cruised around town tonight for about 60 miles. Can't wait to put some more on her. Also looking forward to exhaust/intake mods at some point, after I evaluate the tone once the break-in is done.

Thanks for all the help I've gotten here. I learned a lot just by lurking. Hopefully I can contribute some more now that my perspective is more valid.:driving:

PS- sorry for the crappy iPhone photos. More/better will come once I have the opportunity.

Oooo, a Houston owner. As a heads up the monthly Z/G & Coffee meet up in Houston will be January 10th. With the forums running slow it is hard to get the link, but it is down in the Texas section. Uptown park at the Starbucks at 10:30, I will not be there this time but there are many Z/G owners.

jeez Dreamer, can't make a meet for nothin. :shakes head: :stirthepot:

Hey now, this is a monthly meet up and I rarely miss these, I thought I was actually going to make it as the second Sunday I originally thought feel after my Denver trip. Though I was wrong because the first Sunday ended up being the third. :(

the big antenna looks ugly.... was wondering if the Z has the same option as the G's do.

You are going to miss it also, and do not give me that excuse..."Oh well I live in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area."

Congrats! The roadster is a great choice for Texas. Don't forget your sunscreen :)

Beautiful car! I have yet to see a 370 vert here in Tulsa.

Thanks for the heads-up on the meet. I'll definitely try to make it by.

I've already put my order on for a stubby antenna. It should be here in a few days. I agree, it's my least favorite design attribute, especially since it's slapped right in the middle of the trunk lid. The stubby will fix all that, though.

I'll give the big antenna one thing -- the radio reception is amazing with it. I only really listen to XM, though, so whatever...

Thanks. All things considered, though, I'd rather be driving your Mustang.
(private pilot here -- renter for now, hope to purchase in a year or two)
