Picked up a Nismo this past week

2009 with 18K miles, I saw it at a local dealer surfing autotrader.. long story short I saw it on Wednesday while casually surfing the web from work, Thursday night I was driving it home.

Quick question: I'm thinking the first upgrade I want to do is the air intake. What does everyone recommend to get the most bang for your buck?

Thanks!

The best intake for the $$$ is to put K&N filters in your stock intakes. The stock intakes draw cold air from in front of the radiator. They are a little restrictive regarding flow, but not too bad. They dyno better than any short ram intake that draws air from the engine compartment. Most folks go with a true long tube cold air intake. There are several good brands, do a search. I've got a Stillen G3 and it's probably the most popular one. Good luck on the choice and congrats on the Nismo. Very clean looking in silver. Welcome!

Thanks I'll look into it, did you install the Stillen yourself? Just did a quick read that says you have to take the bumper off.. if so how difficult was it?

Thanks!

Ha that's next. Just figured that intake would be a little less expensive

Congrats on the new ride, looks clean. I went with the Stillen Gen 3 Intake and I'm very happy with it, it was my first mod. For exhaust I got Fast Intentions with 12" resonators and carbon fiber can, I love it.
Welcome to the forum.
