Haha this intro page is getting alot of love. Ps test pipes mad a huge hp difference on my nismo with not much extra sound. Im making 329 to the wheels which is pretty high compared to baseline z's id recommend those since theyre cheaper than hfcs too and sc doesnt have inspections.

What does the CEL situation look like if there is any?

The guys at Tint Solutions just pulled the Z inside to get started :D

Looks hot man! I can't wait to see it in person, I want to get an idea what that looks like before I get mine done. I presume you didn't get "papers"?

I have a receipt of course, nothing incriminating though. :D

When you say 70% on the front...is that the entire front windshield?

Yes sir. In all honesty though.... You wouldn't know it was tinted unless you knew what it was like before hand, it's almost a completely clear film but it blocks a ton of heat.

If it hinders my ability to drive at night I'll remove it in a heartbeat, but so far I see no difference whatsoever.

phantom370z 12-27-2013 07:42 AM

UPDATE: After a good deal of night driving, I see no difference at all with the 70% front. So far no one that's gotten in the car with me has had any idea the front was even tinted at all. The only way you can even tell is to quickly pop your head in/out of the car to notice the very slight shade darker, but it's literally almost invisible.

I looked at Paul's last night and I could definitely see a difference. Since 370's come standard with HID lights, it's not nearly as big of a difference but I'm afraid that since both of my vehicles have halogen bulbs and after having LASIK done last year and therefore not being able to see quite as good at night as it is, the windshield may be off the table for me. It does look good though

phantom370z 12-28-2013 07:09 PM

I just got the 5k White Trunk LED bulb replacement installed, just had to modify the housing a tiny bit to accept the bulb. Pics to follow once it's completely dark and I drag myself back outside.

You can go with 80% which is lighter than what we have. Would still help keep heat down in the summer.

One of us needs to take him for a drive at night, I really don't think it'd be an issue at 70 or 80% honestly.

That post had some strange delay when I posted from tapatalk apparently :D

That being said, it IS in fact dark now and I need to drag myself outside and take the pictures.

Due to the nature of most phone camera's having shitty low light capabilities the trunk one *appears* less effective than it actually is. It's MUCH better than the stock bulb. And the red interior LED's speak for themselves...freaking great.

Red MAP LEDs:

5K White Trunk LED's:

GTR MAP Clear Lenes <--essential in eliminating that shitty frosted plastic look(purely my opinion of course) :D:

Very nice! Makes a difference in the back. I'm not sure about LEDs in the front b/c they are kind of a harsh light to me but the incandescent in the back is useless.

The #1 reason I go with red in the front is because I can actually USE them while moving if I really need to. Red is MUCH easier on your eyes overall and as long as you aren't staring at the lenses they are completely usable. Also....the red is pretty bad ***...IMO...:D In fact the stock yellow ones, to me, are distracting and useless because of how bright they are combined with being such a harsh color right next to your eyes.

Just got in my custom Shift Knob from WC Lathe Werks and installed it. It's pretty great in my opinion...much better than the cheap looking stock knob. Props to Chris for the craftsmanship, top notch as always. I posted this up in the Interior/Exterior section HERE with more details.

Just got my replacement clutch spring in today. I'm wondering if I should paint this thing yellow so that it looks stock for warranty reasons. Anyone have any input?

EDIT: I was to impatient, installed the new one already, heading out for a drive...

phantom370z 01-13-2014 10:04 PM

So the first time I drove the car after installing the new clutch helper spring my face was like this:  and then it changed to this: :happydance: I'm really blown away that the little spring makes such a vast improvement.
