Hello all, new here.

Got tricked into getting a Z the other week at the dealership, lol. My first Z or Nissan of any kind.

Got a new 2012 Touring w/Sports Package for $9k under sticker, Slvr/Blk.

Anything special I should know other than just reading the forum?

My previous cars were:

Ford Explorer (1991 to 1999)
Honda Accord Coupe (1999 to 2003)
Audi S4 (2003 to 2011)
Toyota 4Runner (2011 to 2013)

1. Be respectful, and expect to be respected.
2. Mind your words, it's not what you say but how you say it.

This is considerably a forum of good people willing to help with technical issues, provide a daily dose of funny/wisdom, and help n00bs (like me :icon17:) feel less like a "know-nothing" small-fry, and more like "students" of the School of Nissan 370Z.

Welcome! :hello:

Scan through the Owner's Manual. There are a lot of features that aren't obvious/intuitive.

If you are inclined to DIY or are just curious, the FSM has a lot of technical info.

Browse this (and other 370Z-related) site. Pay particular attention to the stickied threads.

Ask questions (after searching, of course). Lots of knowledgeable ppl on here that love to share that knowledge.

If it's your DD, leave VDC on. :)

6MT or 7AT?

370z does not like to go slow, or be under 4500 RPM's. It almost drives like two completely different cars above and below that range. Don't be afraid to rev it up.

Welcome to the cool-kids-club!

Hi

ric714 06-26-2013 12:19 PM

I got a 7AT. It was the last 2012 on the lot and I couldn't pass it up since he gave me a pretty good deal.
