I found this beauty at a Carmax dealership in Nashville Tn. Exact color I wanted and completely stock. I had the car shipped to a San Antonio Carmax where I bought it and drove it back to my home in El Paso, tx. I feel l I got a pretty good deal on it, and my sister works for the company so I was able to get an employee discount.
The car had 9,500 miles on it, put 550 miles on it from the drive back to El Paso. So far I'm loving it. Clutch pedal travel/engagement is ridiculous,.. and I thought my 05 350z was bad but this is 10x worse. Felt like I was having to learn to drive stick all over again, lol. I have a few upgrades in mind... bought an 25row oil cooler from Z1 last night. More to come soon. Here are a couple quick pics I took today after a wash and wax. I was so pissed when I first showed up at the dealership. See, when I found the online ad on it, no front plate, absolutly no holes drilled into the bumper. I guess TN doesn't require it. Anways, when it got to Texas, the dealers did the unthinkable. Yes.. they drilled holes and mounted a plate . I'm a WA state resident, had no idea they would put one on, never even thought about it... The dealer told me that if I would have just told him before hand they would have held off on it. Oh well, guess I'll have to get it patched up and repainted.![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() With 3 emblems in the back, I just felt there was too much going on. So I took off the "370Z" emblem and think it looks better.

Oh and by the way, if you are unfamiliar with Carmax like I was.... It was by far the easiest, most convenient car buying experience I've ever had. And I'm not just saying that because my sister works for the company. I got to the dealership at 9am... test drove it, looked it over, did the paper work, and was out of there with the car at 10:30am. I had financing with USAA already setup, the price and discount was already set prior to me arriving. Sales manager asked if I wanted an extended warranty.. I declined.. No hassling, he didn't try to sale me all the extras like most do. I'm very impressed with Carmax and may purchase another car through them again.

I also think by financing through USAA made things extremely easy. After I was approved for the loan, I was able to print out an electronic check a couple days prior to purchasing the car. Gave the dealer the check from USAA, wrote a personal check for the remainder, took about 15 min to sign all the paper work and I was done. It took longer for them to clean up the car and fill it with gas then it did doing the paper work! |
