6600 miles and mine were still on. Luckily just one on each.

This thread is almost 7 years old and this continues to happen. After reading this thread three weeks ago and having owned my '17 Nismo Tech for just a week, my curiosity prompted me to go out to the garage around midnight and check my front suspension. I thought about it for a minute and admitted that the ride seemed harsher than I had expected when traversing uneven pavement. Sure enough, I found two spring spacers still installed on each side. Took 5 minutes to jack up each side and remove the spacers. I can't believe this is still happening after all these years.

you expect too much from dealership workers and technicians. 99% are not car enthusiasts and are just trying to get through the day to get paid at a 9-5 job they are most probably miserable being there and they couldnt care less about you or your car or a Z or a nismo Z or spacers or no spacers. check it yourself and remove them after you drive it home. telling the techs and sales people how to do their jobs backfires more often than not in my experience. just do it yourself.

Add another car to the list, three on each side.

Are you guys contacting your stealerships to report their f@ck up's? This should be good for some freebies.

I luckily had some good guys at my dealership & very professional.

They showed me the vehicle delivery report and checklist

RIGHT AT THE TOP IT SAYS "REMOVE NISMO SPRING SPACERS"

it's like one of the first things to do.

They confirmed all of them were taken out and thrown in the trash.

I bugged them about it too because I was so paranoid they would forget or not do it.

It's all about who's working on the car I guess...

I had 2 master mechanics looking it over
& my sales guy said there's a few tuner enthusiasts in the department that like to check everything

This is bizarre. In my introduction to the forum post a few days ago, I mentioned how I wasn’t going to mod my car all that much because I was more into detailing and paint correction. However, the one thing I did say I might want to do was front coil overs to level the car out because I thought the front was a little high in the front. Last night, I came across this thread and immediately went out to my garage to look if I had the spacers. Sure enough, they were on my car. Then I thought this would be a good thing to make a video of, which I did today. Sorry for the ultra crappy quality. Also, I did give credit to this thread and posted the link to it in the description of the youtube video. Thanks so much guys. The car looks and drives just like I want it now and I didnt have to buy a thing.

Looks like my 2018 NISMO has this issue too.

The dealer took out 2 of the 3 for each front wheel.

Called them up and they said they'll take out the others.

The sales guy also said that their "master nissan mechanic" said it's ok to drive on. Tho I assume that's the head mechanic at the dealership, not an actual nissan rep. Obviously if people are finding these after 20k miles they aren't fragile. Tho driving on less than 3 does give the spring a gross lean...

Pics of the front springs just from turning the wheels and using my iphone.

I was able to get the spacers out in about 20-30min using the jack that came with the car (most of the time spent using the crappy jack).

Called the dealership to cancel my apt and he mentioned that the "master tech" didn't actually work at their dealership, and that he had said they were only on the front. Presumably just to lift the nose so it could get on and off the truck without scraping.

Pics of the spacers and back springs to confirm there's no spacers there (shouldn't be).

Moved to a new town beforeI could have the spacers removed, the service manager at the dealership stated ,they would not remove them .
He went on to say that if the factory put them there they must belong on the car?Yikes!
Looks like I will have todo it myself ,and find a different dealer to do my vehicle maintainance
