New to the370z.com, just got my NISMO a couple days ago.

Right before end of year I made a deal on a new addition to the garage "family"...a '09 Nismo-Edition 370z.

It gets to join two slumbering Z32s (one convertible and another 600-hp TT) along with a WIP Z32 TT Convertible (on the right in garage pic).

I hope to meet some of you the370z.com members at the 2010 Z Car Convention in Nashville this summer!

Welcome, damn that is a nice collection.

zinistr 01-20-2010 02:14 PM

Hahaha...thanks. My wife has the last spot for her Murano, otherwise I'd be looking for #5 in a couple years... :P Anyone out of Ohio on the board?

mick 01-20-2010 02:48 PM

hey guys, on the nismo, what do you do to defrost the front windshield?

my old car has a front and rear windshield defrost buttons but the nismo only got a rear window defrost button???

Division 01-20-2010 02:59 PM

4 Zs, 11 posts and already a premium member. +rep for that :)

I'd say Welcome aboard, but I think you should be welcoming the rest of us into the Z world :)

Thanks...but I've been fortunate to have a understanding wife. ;)

Started with a 280zx back when I was sixteen...had it 12 years before rust got the better of her. Found Zinistr back in '00 and went to my first Z convention in Kingston then San Antonio...New Hampshire...Syracuse...Daytona...Cleveland...San Antonio again...and am hosting the Nashville convention in 2010. I also have organized a few cross-country ventures with a site called roadgodz.com (Vegas, Denver, Reno). I'm hoping to do another one in SD this fall.

Happy to support the370z.com, looks like we have another great group of Z folk in here! 8)

turn on ur heater to high and switch the air to defrost option instead of blowing at you..that heat will blast it away

You mean the "Great" State? damn skippy, stationed at Ft. Bliss, but my roots are in the Buckeye state, GO BUCKS!

roplusbee 01-20-2010 09:41 PM

Awesome. That is a serious collection you have there. And welcome!

j.arnaldo 01-21-2010 09:09 AM

Sweet!...did you hit the lotto, man?!

vipor 01-21-2010 09:11 AM

looks to me like 20 years of proper money management. more than that probably.

money well spent regardless.

my dream garage would consist of my current Z, a 70 240Z, probably a ZXTT, and a lot of 240's. the OP is on the right track :tiphat:

Nice addition to your collection! We aren't in Ohio, but we do attend quite a few events in the general area.

Thanks - did you guys think about sponsoring the Z convention in Nashville?

We have been major sponsors (and will be again this year) of Zdayz for the past few years. It's hosted at the Tail of the Dragon each year in late May. More information can be found here: www.zdayz.com. It's a fantastic event, and if you've never been to the area, the roads are amazing!

I've been to Zdayz 3-4 times now. Fun area, but the TOTD is just too slow and congested for my taste...can't disagree with the turns though. 318...that's a bunch. :)

6MT 01-22-2010 11:19 AM

Congrats on the new WIP!

j.arnaldo 01-22-2010 12:19 PM

Definitely. I bought mine used 'cause I can't afford a new Z. Some people get all the luck!--or is it financial planning??

zinistr 01-22-2010 12:32 PM

This is the first "new" Z I ever bought...usually I go for the "fixer-upper" deals. I bought a $1k Z31-Turbo years ago for my parents that we've been working on updating over time.

Can I ask where you got those racks to stack the cars? Thanks!

It's just a standard 4-post car lift...there's a bunch of different ones. I went for one by a company out of Toledo, OH as the shipping was cheaper (there's 1500lbs of steel that shows up...).

Thanks! I've found some companies online now - so glad I found your thread and those pictures - might actually keep my old 280Z around now.

Uh-oh...if you're married, tell your better half that I said "sorry" ;)
