I need new HKS hi power exhaust h-pipe section ASAP!!!!

Hey what up fellas. So basically about a month ago in my condo complex they were apparently making a new speed bump and had not painted the thing yellow yet. I was leaving the complex that night and went over it and unfortunately damaged my hi-pipe section of my HKS hi-powered exhaust!!I couldn't really judge how high it was but the people that were making it did a horrible job. They have since reprofiled the speed bump because it was way too high and a multitude of people were bottoming out over it (my 370Z ISN'T LOWERED and I did this specifically to avoid this sort of crap). I had the exhaust smoke tested and fortunately there is no leak but I desperately want to replace the h-pipe section as soon as I can. I tried to purchase that section of exhaust from local performance shops but they are telling me the HKS apparently does not "piece part" which I find mind boggling?? There must be a way to circumvent this. If anybody knows how I could go about buying this new h-pipe piece please let me know Id greatly appreciate it. There no way i wanna waste 2 grand and buy the whole exhaust new once again when the other parts of my current exhaust are still in great condition. That 2 grand could go to future mods.......Thanks fellas

good luck. if you find a place, i need adjustable hks exhaust tips. both got acid and destroyed the look of them.

Damn bro sorry to hear that. I guess you know what Im going through. If you find out anything please let me know, Ill definitely do the same if I hear anything as well. Id like to REPLACE THIS H-PIPE ASAP!!!!! And yeah if anyone out there can help a fellow "Z-AFICIONADO" out here that would mean the a lot. Thanks fellas

Tell your apartment complex to pay for it, and have an exhaust shop make you one or buy a new full exhaust... Sorry

I told them it was there fault bro. But obviously they were evasive about it which is lame. But yeah man if i could fing that new h-pipe and get the Z back to mint form thats all that matters to me at this point. A NEW HKS HI POWER EXHAUST H-PIPE SECTION. There's gotta be way for me to get this specific part, like through some special order or something?

Man that sux bud! I know its not the ideal option HOWEVER..If you want a cheaper option then DEpoint is on to something. You can reuse the flanges from the hks exhaust have a shop cut the flanges off the and weld up new polished stainless steel pipes and they can make it as good as new and as long as they have the original pipes as a template they'll be spot on. It will be pretty cheap and look good too. They can even spot weld in place on the car to get perfect fit then pull the pipes and weld around (ive had this done on a camaro in the past for a custom exhaust).

Hey bro yeah know what you mean but Id really like to keep things pure HKS. I gues Im a little neurotic but hey, all us guys are that way with our cars. If you can thing of anything else definitely let me know though.

Mods-currently
HKS HI POWER EXHAUST (NEW H-PIPE SECTION NEEDED LOL), HKS Hypermax 3 coilovers, Berk Technology test pipes, UPREV ECU tune, and Injen cool air intakes. Im looking to get the Powerhouse AMUSE rear strut brace and whiteline antiroll bars right after I could figure out this exhaust issue. If anyone knows anyone who has the hks hi power exhaust h-pipe section with the flex pipe portion at a local performance shop our anywhere for that matter please let me know!! Im soooo close to finish off my car mods.

Zensation 12-14-2013 09:40 PM

yeah well i know the feeling...theonly way your gonna get that is to buy the whole exhaust though. You may consider piecing out the rest of the kit at a slight loss then..say you can get the kit for 2000 if your willing to sell the other pieces for 1000 you end up paying 1000 for the part you need instead of 2000. Also not ideal but hey its better than 2000. I know at the right pricei could be convinced to buy the flexpipe section as a steeeep apartment complex exit scraped and frayed the braided steel on my left one nothing anyone can see and affects nothing but i know its there kinda thing. That one guy needs tips. just a thought. Youll be taking a hit though.

Yeah thats so annoying bro. Both my flex pipes took the brunt of it. Fortunately the rest of the exhaust passed the smoke test and everything else is mint but im still so annoyed by this.

Ive had this car since i was 23 and its my first big buy so its like obviously you wanna take care of it bc its got a lot of sentimental value. Im sure everyone else feels the same way about their whips. Its a guy thing, you know......

Zensation 12-15-2013 08:22 AM

What do ya know I bought my first 370 at age 23. my first big buy too right outa college witht the signing bonus from the company i hired onto. best and worst spend of my life haha. But yeah i know the feeling. buying and parting out will probably be the way to go then man maybe get people interested before you buy and have them split the kit with you and ship them the parts they pay for?

Off topic, how do you like the HKS exhaust?

Loud enough to let people know your presence?

Or is it the quiet but nice sounding kinda?
