buying my first 370z when the 2014 releases
Hi guys, so I'm pumped up cause I'm waiting for the 2014 370z to release so I can get one, I'm a little disappointed though was looking at the new nismo pics and taught i was going to get that one until i found out its only available in manual.
So I probably will get the touring sports package instead, in pearl white with persimmon leather seats. Anyone see pics of what they have changed in the touring sports package? Cause I only see pics for the nismo 2014, also any idea when exactly it will be released only have heard sometime in the summer. oh and whats up with that 0% apr for 5 years deal, says expires on 8/5 but is this one of those deals that never truly expire and always around? |
So... really not going to change between 2013 and 2014 afaik. The 0% deal leaves for about 7 months then comes back midway through the year in preparation for Q3/4 sales to clear inventory. They do it every year I believe.

Niceeeeee post pics when you have it.
|
0% will be for a "well qualified" buyer.
|
oh dam so most likely when they release the 2014 model it will be gone the 0%
|
(2014 is already out in a hush hush manner)
A few dealers have them on the lot. |

I would think Nissan would have made a big deal about any changes they made.
|
i hope there are atleast some differences, i like the changes on the 2014 nismo, sucks its only manual... so i hope they did stuff for the touring as well
|
I would seriously doubt it. 2013 got a refresh. They're not going to change a huge amount that soon after that. What is it you want changed?
|
And why not get the Nismo if that's what you really want? The 6mt is a solid gearbox.
|
never drove a manual :(
and yeah i guess your right i like the 370z how it is, but i just figure since im buying it now might as well get the 2014 version as its probably gonna be the same price |
Learn to drive one. It's not a big deal at all. And you can usually get a better deal on 2013s once the 2014s start showing up at dealers.

Does anyone know what a prior year (2013) new car is cost wise? Is it $1000-$1500 off from invoice, or is more or less then that.
Personally I was going to get something used, around 10,000 or less miles. But I think now I will just get a 2013 when the 14's come out. |
Hi
|
That kinda depends on you. Once 2014s are on lots, start emailing dealers in a couple hundred mile radius of you. Figure out a number that works for you and see who will play ball.
|
It cost Nissan money to let it sit on a boat or in holding facility. They will push it out somehow especially if someone is looking for it or for option combinations that is hard to find on the current lot of 13's. So the dealer cannot feed you bs like that. The issue is, the rebates or incentives are on the 13's so they would push that out first. Given the design is on it's last leg and ready for a refresh, I doubt there will be a difference between the 13 and 14's. Good luck with your choice.

So do the new models typically come around September? I'm pretty sure they came early last year because of the refresh. |

Normally I would never even contemplate an automatic but you seem very much commited to one. Chuck is dead on about learning and then you can choose the one you like best including the Nismo. I prefered the sport touring to the Nismo, though initially I went specifically for the Nismo. Actually the GTR but it to sucks... It only comes in automatic. Good luck. |
Welcome.
In Canada, there aren't any changes to the 2014 other than price. |

So I searched online for an automatic 370z sports touring 2013 fully loaded with nav and persimmon leather seats and couldnt find anything, so i called the biggest dealer near me and told them and they said they will look for it and let me know.
I doubt they will find exactly what I want though since I have such a specific desire for color & interior, so probably will end up having to wait for 2014 :| |
Seriously, are the 2014 models really out?

according to nissans press release they are, the only thing is that the dealers that are getting them don't have their allocated units on the lot yet as most of the 2014's are still sitting in shipping or at the port waiting to be cleared for release. i know for a fact though that the 2014 that i ordered has been cleared to be released from port this coming wednesday and hopefully at my dealership by the weekend :) |

I got my '12 in March of 2012 for 0%. I thought they did it every year around that time only but I could be wrong.
|
I drove a 2014 today, and wow i am in love even more! From what i can see no changes from the 13 models except for the price. Funny thing was they had a 2013 base manual listed at the same price as the 2014 base with sport package ~$34k with some dealwr add ons. Tried to neg it down but they wouldnt budge since its the first 14 on the lot and no incentives or discounts available yet. Going to wait til the labor day weekend sale event and see what deals come up.
|
the price dropped on the 2014, so nissan is offering a 3150 "equipment allowance" or rebate to offset the price difference. Many dealers won't admit they have 14s until they clear out their 13s. We have 1 2013 left, and 8 2014s on the lot ready for sale!!! Congrats George BTW!!! 1st 2014 delivered from Koeppel
