Hey new guy here in need of some assistance
Hey guys, I'd just like to start off by saying hello to everyone! I love the forum and recently I started getting into the japanese car scene. Theres something special to me about the 370 z though, as soon as I saw one on the road I fell in love!! I'd really like to sell my 09 335ix coupe as soon as possible and get into a Z as having a car with four seats is no longer a necessity and would just like to hear some feedback from current owners who use their wonderful z's as a daily driver. Rest assured the car will be garaged during the winter;) Thanks again guys!

Hi. I am a Z daily driver and I love it. The only things I can tell you are:
1. You will freak out when you park it somewhere, like a mall or something 2. Stop thinking in terms of MPG, although with a 335i you probably already know this 3. It's a NA! :p :hello: |
Hi

You will love the Z. Be prepared to spend half of your salary to mod it

your correct about thinking mpg it's the last thing in my mind when its $75 every 4 days to fill up my 335i.... so any decrease will be a warm welcome:) I love that the maintenance will be so much easier on the z as of now my 335i is still under warranty but the invoice prices on receipt are shocking:x The car just doesn't do it for me and the z will be a much appreciated change of pace!!!

I drive mine daily, you'd think the GTI would be my daily but the Z is more fun. GTI only when I need more room in the car.
Things you need to know. Your 335ix is quieter, smoother, roomier, has better vision and easier to get in & out of. Plus awd & turbo, so a different driving experience. The Z has noise, road noise (can be reduced with dynamat on doors & hatch, not hard to do) and engine noise at higher rpm's. You will feel the bumps more in the Z vs the 335ix, however it's not bad or jolting in any way. Blindspot & rear view is bad, setting up your rear view mirrors properly is important. The Z being lower will require a little more effort on your part getting in & out, hey but I'm 55. All that being said, after 9 months of ownership I really enjoy owning and driving this car! I did go to the BMW dealer here locally and test drove a 335I Coupe and an M3 before deciding to purchase the Z. While the BMW's had so many positives and very few negatives, the bottom line is, I enjoyed driving the Z more! I guess I wanted more of a sports car feel and the Z provided that for me. I say go for a test drive and not just a 10 minute one. Take it on all the different roads you like to drive on and give it some gas. Good luck on your search. |
