... when I lift my foot off the gas and coast on the highway. :rofl2: I think my trip computer says my avg MPG is 16ish. :shakes head: My 517 RWHP Vette averaged 19ish and got 30+ MPG on the HWY. The Z is NOT the sports car for you if you want fuel economy. |
I avg about 20 MPG and I agree with what most ppl have said already... don't do it until gas, maintenance, etc isn't an issue financially. A sports car probably isn't the best move for you at this point. Regardless, good luck.

I'm averaging 22mpg (computer reading) right now. It's mostly highway mileage though. I think I do 18/19 on the streets. No I don't drive like a grandpa (I'm hitting 50 on surface streets that are posted at 35/40). I don't know how you guys hit less than that unless you're flooring it everywhere or you're always going uphill lol.

from pump visit to pump visit I've been avg 22 on mostly hwy miles with occas. playing and no grandpa driver here. I dont go by my dash read out just miles divided by gallons. :driving:

What is our tank capacity? I usually fill up at half tank so I don't know the exact amount. Btw even at half tank it's still $40-$50 :shakes head:

Here's the link for the MPG or L/100

The key here is you are in college/university. I am in college, have a part time job, and use the Z as my daily driver. what most don't realize is that "daily driver" for a student is "weekend around the block" driver because buses run everywhere. I don't know if that is the case there, but here, I fill up maybe once every 2 months. So if you drive it only when you need to and your school provides alternate transportation, you should be fine. Although at 17, I would suggest something a little less maintenance intensive and more fun to drive in straight lines haha

same price in cali, i pump weekly at 70+$. And i use another car here and there -_- |
dude if you have to work two part time jobs to pay for this car. Don't freaking do it.
Its not worth slaving for. more importantly, get a beater so you dont worry about it, and graduate college first. Then buy yourself a nice *** ride then. |
You guys realized he use the term euro and km? I wouldn't be buying a sport car if those are the term I have to use everyday lol
|
Take the Z.

Hey OP
Being in similar situation gas doesn't really hurts my wallet, had v6 2010 accord prior and i spend a little bit more. Ive spent around 68$ a week on the accord and spend around 74$ for on my Z, And prior the accord I had 2004 S-class thats when I had to spend almost double that 136$. So if you can afford gas for average non hybrid car you'll be fine. |
