New Member from Washington!

Hey everyone. I've been interested in Z's for awhile now and am planning on buying 370z next month. I am new to cars and I am just starting to learn more about them. Actually, I have been collecting sneakers for a few years now (10k worth) and am finally selling most of them for a down payment on a Z! There's a lot I'm wanting to learn about Z's and have been roaming the forums for information for weeks now but just today made an account.

A question that I had were OTD prices on Z's. I've been quoted in Washington for a White, MT, Base, 2012 Z and was wondering how much more I probably could get off of it. I've used the sites such as kbb, edmunds, true price but I didn't know if that was OTD or just the car. Thanks!

* 2012 Nissan 370Z Base Coupe
6 Speed Manual
Pearl White
Carpeted Floor Mats
List Price: $34,330
Your Price: $30,817 + tax/lic = $34,209.07 "out the door"

Welcome! I use to be a sneaker head as well, but it was a costly hobby so I stopped. That's nice that you can use some of the money from selling them towards your Z.

Now, for the Z you are looking at you can probably get 1-2k off the OTD price depending on how good of a negotiator you are. I got my 2011 for 36OTD but mines an auto, base. So your price, considering its a manual I think is good.

The prices you see on edmunds, true car and etc are usually invoice or list prices, the only way to know what you are truly going to pay when you drive your Z off the lot is going by the dealer quote. It seems you've gotten one now, (34,330) work on negotiating the price a little bit it may be hard as the 2012's just came out, but as the winter approaches, dealers may be willing to give larger discounts, aim for the 32-33k OTD range, that would be a solid deal for a new 2012 base in my eyes.

Good luck :tup:

Hey man, welcome to the forum:tup: You shouldnt have a problem getting answers for any questions you may have, this site is a great resource. As far as OTD pricing is concerned I cant help you. I just walked into the dealer back in Jan of 09 I believe, told them I wanted Touring, Sport, Nav, all the bells and whistles basically and I think I paid 43,000 OTD. Didnt haggle a damn bit, didnt care, just wanted the car.
