Making a home in this forum :)

Hello. :tiphat:

First and foremost, I am by no means a car expert. To honest, I don't really have that much interest in cars. It doesn't mean I don't respect the field.

Then one day, I decided to shop for a car. Not just any car, and not your parent's car. It had to be visually stunning and within my budget. This will be my car, paid by me, driven by me. You know that feeling right? ;)
So I looked online at the current modern cars available in the U.S. and the only car that actually caught my eye is the Nissan 370Z.
I read everything at the Nissan website and started looking around for more info on the car which eventually led me here.
I always like finding out what people think about whatever it is that I'm hunting down and I think this place is pretty nice.

I won't know what everyone is talking about on here, like VDC, but I'm sure I'll find out soon enough. I didn't get the "DD" acronym til I read a few more threads and understood it.
Yeah, I'm that uninformed about every day things that I take for granted and never knew there was more to it.

According to the dealer, I should be getting my new 2011 370Z in late April this year.

I've driven mainly on public roads and I don't plan on racing my 370Z whether it's on a race track or out for a joy ride. Over the 15+ years of driving, I haven't been in any serious accidents, but I've been in some pretty bad crashes as a passenger and survived them :icon14: .
I think that's made me a more conscious driver. ;)

There are some things about the 370Z that I am a little curious about.
Like the rear fog lamp. That would be a good spot for a trailer hitch since the fog light is useless(?). The reason why I'd like a trailer hitch is for moving purposes with a Uhaul trailer or something. But I understand that this is a sports car and a trailer hitch is the last thing anyone would want on their sports car. :ughdance:

:rofl2:

Welcome.

You'll probably get a lot of feedback on the trailer hitch. I think for practicality you wouldn't want to put one through there anyway. Through the movement of hitch and trailer, you could easily rip the outer bumper.
A lot of us have replaced the fog "slug" with an actual foglight. Used mine in the snow today. :driving:

What color are you getting?

Welcome.
Trailer has been done by one owner, he carries tires and such for tracking his car: http://www.the370z.com/657388-post10.html

TreeSemdyZee, I just understood your name, LOL!
I guess I'm late to the trailer hitch party then if many more people before me thought of it already. :)
The only color I want for my Z is black. It's just a color that could only be described as "bad ***." Red was too feminine, blue was too bright, white was rather old, silver/grey just seemed boring. Just my opinion.

c41006, thanks! :)

theDreamer, thanks for that link. Wow, someone actually made my dream mod come true. Now if only I can get that mod put onto my car. :)
I don't know how the Z's under belly frame is like, but I'd assume the mod would need to somehow be grafted onto it so that the bumper won't get stressed out.

SPOHN, I hadn't noticed MN members crawling out of the woodwork :p . I've only seen maybe four 370Zs in the city here during the summer. None in the winter. Out of the four, three were black, and one was grey.

bleufiend, thanks. :)
I'd just like to know more about the 370Z, and hopefully I can get some real world 370Z owners insight on the actual vehicle itself since I haven't test drove one yet.
