Be gentle... I brake easy. :)
I'm new to this forum and am actually waiting on delivery of my '10 370Z Sport in Magnetic Black.
My previous ride was an '08 EVO MR in Wicked White. Finally I get to do all forms of racing!! :eekdance: |
Welcome! :hello:
|
You brake easy... You got the big brake upgrade from the sports package?
They are good brakes! welcome! |
Thank you both :)
I was joking about braking easy to initiate a drift. ;) |
Welcome to the Forum...
Welcome to the discussion, and congrats on your new Z. Lots of great information here.
Looking forward to seeing the pics of your new ride. |
I've uploaded a pic of my car. :)

Welcome to the forum! WoW another evo to 370z!
|
An excellent pic of your car !!!! thanks :)

The camera was on the HTC EVO :)
Thank you all for the kind words. The EVO X MR Wicked White is what I had, and the vehicle was great, but I need RWD and a manual for a change. The MR comes with an "auto" in the form of the Twin Clutch SST, and though it being great, it doesn't allow for too many modifications without worrying about longevity. I'll reply to this more as I get more familiar with my Z and can provide more comparisons. |
I heard that transmission was made of glass and only makes about 450whp before it craps out, is that true?
|
oh, and its not exactly easy to drift with an AWD car :) its nice to get sideways every now and then.
|
According to my bro, if you want to mod the EVO X buy the GSR 5MT... People are going up to ridiculous numbers on the stock block. Of course he swears his mod car is his built S4, EVO X for a DD... but i know better lol.

It's not the horsepower that breaks the EVO TC.. It's the torque. You can get a max of 350wtq before you're settin yourself for catastrophic failure. I've heard of some with 500+whp and 350wtq moving along just fine without slip. You have to also program the TCU engage the clutches more sharply so that it can handle the extra torque. :)

Not sure about that. From what I hear it's just a tune of the TCU along with the ECU. Which the expensive part is that there aren't many shops that know how to do this.
GST in California is the shop that comes to mind. |
