Just bought my 370z sport and I love it!! =)
I'm changing out the stock speakers at this point already which I really wasn't planning on doing until I started playing anything with bass and boy that was a bad idea... Sounds like Crap!
I'm planning on going with Alpine speakers in the doors and back but I'm wondering what type of amp I should go with so any ideas would rock. I just installed a Pioneer AVH-3100DVD which has turned out to be more of a hassle then I planned on.... I had to purchase an aftermarket switch to watch a DVD for any reason while I'm driving around and I needed a signal booster also. So in case you do this same dumb thing like me now you know what you need haha. I should have just dropped it off at a stereo place and had them spend half the time I did installing it. 8-P :driving: |

Changing out the Bose System? |
Standard radio in the sport version
I ended up installing a Pioneer AVH-P3100DVD head unit
and 6 1/2" Infinity Kappa's in my doors with a Alpine amp and Alpine SWR-1242D 12" Sub in a custom fitted box. It sounds great! :happydance: |

Definitely need new speakers. Any tips on how to remove the door panels without messing anything up?
|
Congrats & Welcome :tiphat: Upgrading my audio was also the first modification I did to my 370. I'll prob add a sub and amp later

Wasn't to hard to remove the door panels just remove the 1 bolt behind the inside door handle after removing the plastic cover and then two more under the arm rest then just
start pulling nice and easy where the vent meets the dash and you should be go to go. After that you have to remove the 4 bolts that hold the inside handle to the door panel and undo the two power connections which can be a little bit of a pain because of the clips you need to push inward to release them. Also your going to need speaker spacers for the new speakers which will need to splice the wires no matter what you do because Nissan doesn't have any connectors out I could find anywhere that worked. "Very important fact about the windows needing to be reset after removing the door panel switches" The window will not work correctly after you've done all this and most people don't know how to fix the issue but its in your manual haha. Very easy to fix: 1.turn the car to "ON" 2.Roll the window up and hold the button for "3-5 sec" before releasing it. 3.Roll the window all the way down and hold for "2 sec". window should be reset. =) |
