Upgaded from 350 conv. to 370 conv.
Got a black 370z convertible, manual transmission one month ago today. Dealer gave it to us for $500 over invoice! Dealer sent two guys from Wilkesboro, N.C. to Louisville, KY to pick it up so it had 500 miles on it when we got it.
Question- What is the deal with NO SPARE TIRE FOR THE CONVERTIBLE?! Maybe this is answered somewhere else in the forums. If so, please direct me. The parts guy at the dealership didn't even know it until we proved it to him as the coupe has a spare tire. |
welcome to the forums, hope you like the change as much as i did.
oh and i really havent paid attention to the roadster spare tire issue. it was coupe all the way for me. |

The spare is an option that you only get in MD for some reason. Congratulations, the roadster drives awesome!

Dood, you're hella brave for letting 2 people drive your brand new car 500 miles to you. I would of demanded the Z be trailered to me.
|
Well, in regard to why we let someone else drive it from the distant dealer rather than trailer it, I trusted the dealership that these were two old guys who wouldn't abuse the car, and the warranty started when the car was delivered. I figured too that I couldn't press my demands too much as I was getting it for several thousand less than any other dealer was offering.
Just weird that coupe has spare and convertible doesn't. |

Does it have run flat tires?
|
No, the convertible does not have run flat tires. It has a KIT!! with rubber plugs, glue and an air pump you plug into your AC. Can you imagine in the dark fumbling with the kit?! In 15 minutes someone could change a flat tire, but this will take longer. Plus, the manual says something like "call roadside service" if a sidewall blows out, or the cut in the tire is too big for the little plug.

Coupe Doesn't either
