New Z in Chicago

Hello all! I bought my Z in April and found this forum when I figured out I needed winter tires to survive, and searched for some advice. I bought new winter shoes from Tire Rack, which should be delivered today. Thanks to all posters who helped me sort out which way to go on that.

My ride is 2016 Roadster Touring Sport, M6 trans in deep blue pearl with gray interior. All stock, at least until I get those new shoes & wheels on it! Traded in my 15 year old Audi TT Quattro Roadster. Yeah, I like ragtops even though I live in Chicago. With the AWD, the Audi was a decent snow car. Hoping the new winter rubber does the same for the Z.

From one old guy to another (Medicare eligible myself), thanks for the greeting. Will try to get some pics posted when I get the new wheels on it.

Summer & Winter Tire Pics

Got the winter tires Wednesday and put them on that day. Thought I would post some before/after pics. Not much of a background, just my garage door. For grins, I put the top down with the summer wheels (OEM Rays/Potenzas) and the top up with the winter shoes (Monte Titano MT6 Vita/Michelin X-ICE XI3 XL). I went with 18" x 8" wheels and 225/50R-18 all around. No spacers on the rear, might add them next winter.

I tried this once and didn't get it right. The first set of pics (top down) is with the OEM Rays/Potenzas and the second set (top up) is with the new winter tires and wheels from Tire Rack.

I'm a little late in responding, but it looks great.
