Time to get off the motorcycle

Hi All!

It was time to give up the motorcycle before I ended up on the ground. I've had my fun, riding across the US. A new stage of life with my wife of 35 years..The 370Z roadster is something we can both enjoy more than the bike and still feel the g's of acceleration and curves. Weeee! I have a 2010 Touring Roadster, and love it! Looking forward to making improvements gradually. I appreciate the creativity and expertise I see from the owners on this site! Thanks! I hope I can contribute as well!

Welcome. And I think we have something in common in the above story as it sounds like I wrote it about myself.

I had to give up riding my big street cruiser in 2007 due to an occupational knee injury - it hurt me to ride any more than about 10 minutes. There were tears in my eyes when I found a good home for the Intruder LC1500 but I let it go.

Since then, I have driven nothing but roadsters because I am addicted to the open air and the feel of my environment. I went from a Pontiac Solstice (new in 2007) to a new 2014 370Z Pearl white roadster.

These are no substitute for a bike but as close to it as I will ever get and just as enjoyable if not more.

Congratulations on your roadster.

I was actually thinking about getting yet another motorcycle, when I decided I was tired of throwing money into toys that mostly sat in the garage, and had the potential of turning me into road kill. So I bought a Z instead. Great choice.

Your bike would have been jealous of all the attention your Z was getting any way. Since I got my Z in January I've neglected my bike so much that I've had to put it on the trickle charger twice from letting the battery go dead. Thinking hard about selling the bike this spring since it's just not going to get the use it once did. Also welcome and congrats on the Z.

I gave up motorcycling years ago too. (Had multiple Harleys). Never in an accident Thank God but gave it up due to my girls sake.

Enjoy and Welcome!
