New member here with a new Z!

Hi everyone,my name is Rob & I live outside of Pittsburgh about an hour south. I picked up my 1st ever Z 2 nights ago. I have owned a few sports cars thru the years and always loved the Z cars. When I was in the Army a bud a 280zx I drove a couple times when my Mustang was in the shop and I liked the car but didn't like how you sat in it so I never got one. Another Army buddy had the 1st gen 300z and I liked it a lot better but then they came out with the 2nd gen 300z twin turbo and I wanted one but never picked one up. Came close a couple times but never pulled the trigger. I have always owned Nissan trucks & have been thru a couple Trans Am's (77' & 84') and Camaros (78' & 87' Iroc we built for my son) then the VW Scirrocos & an Audi & Eclipse & a Pulsar NX we completely redid and a drunk lady smashed into me less than 2 weeks after we finished it. So anyway about 4 months ago I traded my 2012 Nissan Frontier 4x4 in for a 2015 Frontier & a Versa for my GF. I work out in the Natural Gas drilling rigs doing satellite communications (I am the service manager) & have a Z71 my company supplies me for my personal use and we have 3 extra's if I ever needed a truck. I normally am in them most of the week and my Nissan trucks usually sit so they don't get a lot of use. Well the other night I was thinking about this car sitting up at my local dealership & the vacation we have planned next week. It's the only one they have in stock but I was loving on it when we traded my other truck in. I decided instead of making payments on a truck I never use I may as well make payments on a car I love!

It was a left over 2014 370z with the Sport & Touring packages. 33 miles on it. Magnetic Black w/Black Leather/Suede 6spd. Sorry I have to get better pics.

Thanks, really love this car. It's going to be an even better vacation with it! I go on vacation after work tomorrow and we leave Monday morning to go to Detroit for 3 days see AC/DC in concert and then head down to Alabama to see our daughter. Going to be a lot more fun driving this than my truck :)

Nice! Enjoy your vacation and safe travels. You'll definitely be putting some miles on your Z over the next week or so. The longest round trip I've taken so far was around 850 miles for ZDayZ earlier this year. Drove about 90 mph the whole way and the car was a champ. Once I found the proper seat adjustment, I was super comfortable with no complaints.

Enjoy and let the modding begin when you return from your trip!

Congrats! Wow what a great looking Z!!
Try to get that front bumper covered with Xpel before the trip. Be sure to pack a few items to help you maintain the car on the road (bug scrubber for instance).

Great car. I have the white version sport, with Nav and all options except Nismo. You can leave it as is and have a lot of fun. I made some modest bolt on and tuning improvemts, and wow, did it make a difference.
I may be traveling to Pittsburgh in the next 2 weeks to do a contract for the next upcoming months. May be bringing my Z. Hit me up, and I'll tell you what I have done and help you if needed.
Most of all, enjoy.
