It's very European.

So, this being a touring model, what does that offer over the base?

BoneZ 06-10-2015 03:13 PM

This is the only damage the lot is reporting. That curb rash is not making me feel all warm inside.

Use the curb rash to get the price down. I bitched about the rash on mine when I bought it (base wheels, mind you), and they ended up taking about $500 off. Should be more with sport wheels.

You can have the wheels fixed for about $100 each. That's what I was quoted for mine by several different shops locally. Or, you can do it yourself. I found this video pretty helpful - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CDfnui1M4OE. Or, just buy some new ones and really make the Z your own.

Yeah. I was looking at a couple of those videos. I've seen Bondo and that steel putty. Fortunately, I have a mini body shop in my garage and I paint cars, so I have no doubt I can fix em up. +1 on the price reducing. I'm also going in with $5000 and pre-financing. So...If they wanna play ball, we'll play ball.

Actually, I'm kinda wondering how well these fixes hold up to tire changes.

Found this on wikipedia:

The touring model adds heated and cooling leather-appointed power net seats, a 6-CD Bose audio system with 8 speakers (with dual subwoofer) and MP3/WMA playback, XM Satellite Radio, Bluetooth Hands-free Phone System, HomeLink Universal Transceiver, and aluminium-trimmed pedals.

Fancy pants.

Woot! I just learned from my wife, who can't keep secrets, my father's day gift is going to be the stereo system for the Z. Score.

Indeed. I'm officially old 'cause I enjoy the heated seats, and I'm spoiled because of the Bluetooth and satellite radio. I travel a lot for work, and these amenities have improved my quality of life. I'm not a grumpy sonofabitch when I arrive at my destination to meet with a client.

Oh, and I like HomeLink, too.

It has cooling seats? ? ?

The roadsters have cooled seats and the coupes have heated seats. It would be a dream come true if each had both.

Well damn...

BoneZ 06-11-2015 05:58 PM

Guess what I'm doing?

The Camaro died in the middle of I-85. I'm over it.

Stay tuned. Dets coming.
