Just brought home a 2012 gently used model, my grail of grails. Been wanting one for years now, finally convinced the wife to let me go ahead! :happydance:

Took it yesterday for my Provincial emissions test, all sensors showed 'not ready'. I drove it home 800 miles over two days then another two days through city driving, all within a five day period.

On the 6th day I took it first thing to the dealership after about a 30 minute city drive and it STILL wasn't ready. Shouldn't the sensors be in a ready state after all that?

Congrats on the purchase! That's a long drive for a new (for you) car!

No idea about the sensors.

Good choice in color! As far as emissions go I have no idea on what Canada requires.

It wasn't a case of what emission readings would pass or not but rather that all the sensors showed 'not ready'. From what I've read online you have to drive the car through certain patterns, starting with highway driving for at least 9 minutes, then stop and go city driving at lesser speeds for at least 6 minutes, then highway again for a few minutes.

After doing all that last night I did a check with the power in the 'on' position without actually starting the car and it still showed that the sensors weren't in a ready condition. I really hope the dealership can figure it out tomorrow, I can't even drive it after this Saturday without the E-test certificate. Good thing is that its still under warranty but its still pretty upsetting.
