Hi from Dubai and my experience of the Nissan Dealer here!

First of all a big hello and thanks to the members on the forum. I lurked around for several months doing research before I bought by 370z in May of this Year and the information and insight was very useful.

Please don't judge me too much: However I come from a diesel background with my last car being the BMW 123D M sport, great handling car and the same amount of torque as an M3 but wow moving to my first ever owned petrol car has been amazing. All 3.7 liters of it. Moving from the UK to Dubai in January of this year and only paying £15 for a full 70 litre tank of super is brilliant!

So I've done 10,000km in the car and you have to get it serviced every 5000km here. Think its because of the heat the engine runs and the longevity of the oil. Anyway its the warranty terms of Nissan in Dubai.

I had my first paid for oil service, (first two services were free). Just the usual oil filter, oil change and inspection. Paid $130 or £82. Which i thought was extremely cheap, it should have been £100 but they gave me a discount as i complained about alloys being coated in grease after the last service valet. They also cleaned all the Dubai dust off my pads and discs, so the squeak has gone at slow speeds and they feel much sharper. They even touched up a chip on the front bumper for free.

The only issue is that they had the wheels off the car for the first time and re-balanced one of the wheels, now I have a very slight wobble in the steering between 120 -125 kmph. Took it back today and they correcting it and to say sorry for the mess up they will deliver the car back to my office for me.

Over and out for now.

Welcome. Go visit the guys over at Carbon Signal. Amazing body stuff for our cars. I'll be in Dubai around the 10th. Currently in Oman.

If I may ask, what does a Z cost there? I recall reading that in many foreign countries the price is way higher than in USA.

Cars are more expensive in foreign countries. A new 350Z in Germany back in 2008 was 40K EUR, or just a little over 55K USD. So I bought mine in Miami for $32K and paid an extra $3K for shipping.

Apologies for the very delayed response.

I believe I have the GT spec, satnav, 19" rays etc and I paid AED 150,000 which in US dollars is $40.8k

And the oil is synthetic.
