JBURK - I test drove a sport model and didnt like the synchro rev. And I will be buying bigger breaks, lsd and wheels.

Big brakes, wheels and a LSD knocks your budget down to where FI is a stretch. You can turn synchro rev off.

Chuck - In that case, I may need to increase my operating budget. I just want to go fast!

Take a look through my build thread. I pretty much did the same thing you're looking to do. I'd link you to it, but doing it from my phone is too much effort ;). It's a pretty good breakdown of supporting mods, etc. I can tell you that 15-20k was around what I spent including labor, and I started with the sport package. It's snowballed since then, but car projects always do. And go with the turbo. Eventually you'll want more power, and its a lot easier to turn up the boost than it is to swap pullies.

What do you guys think of this as a starting point. A nice gtm kit. https://www.gtmotorsports.com/produc...roductid=16691. I was reading that super charger are better for a daily driver and easier to up keep. Thoughts?

You're in good hands with GTM. If I were you, I'd give mike over there a call and discuss what you want from the car. They'll give you pros and cons on each. There's a lot of threads here debating the two. Either will work fine for a daily driver provided you get all the necessary supporting mods and get a good tune.

Sorry for your loss, bro. I hope to see you start a build thread [if you haven't already] and watch your progress.

Ordered some new gear. I cant wait till it arrives and I can get them installed.

exhaust - fast intentions tdx cat back
hfc - fast intentions
header - none yet
FI - GTM twin turbo stage 2 (turn key) - powder coated black
cool - GTM 34 row oil cooler
injectors - bosch 650cc

And a bunch of other parts that were recommended for me.

Why not go with GTM's downpipes instead of HFCs?

theDreamer 10-11-2013 08:43 AM

You will not need headers with the TT kit, I would stop the order on the HFC. You will burn them up and clog your exhaust (with a possibility of having it shoot backwards towards the engine). Either go with test pipes or 3" down pipes.

Chuck33079 10-11-2013 08:44 AM

Personally, I'd change the GTM order to the 3" downpipes with external wastegates, and change the FI order to the 3" catback.

Good advice. Will do. Lol. I best make some phone calls.
