370z finally at Vivid Racing

After popping in and trolling the forums and answering PMs when sales guys have been away or gone on to another forum I was bitten by the Z bug. With some aggravating web searching I found this Brilliant Silver 2009 7spd auto with a scary low 16k on it and a equally great 09 in Monterey Blue in the valley. Finally got up the nerve to strike a deal on it yesterday afternoon.

Pretty stoked so far, the car is clean enough and has enough options for the plans I have for it. I'm cheap and the Nismo didnt make much sense for me a I'll be upgrading wheels, suspension, aero, and interior as the build goes on.

I know we've been a little silent on the forum lately and I will be sure to change that as well while I'm on to research and make parts decisions like the rest of you.

Onto the pics (*poor cell ones I know)

The day started with trying to decide if the G37 Sedan was a better fit. Fortunately I had already test drove the Z.

Its really a matter of convenience. I talked a lot with Scott that spent a lot of time on this forum and he assured me that I wouldn't be missing out on the performance side. After driving our project R35 and F10 M5 it really opened my mind to a paddle car.

A big part of it is that my chick has a 2.0T GLI and it's an often situation where I swap her cars and bring it to the shop for some problem/issue and I'd rather her not learn how to drive manual on my car, lol.

Not in stock immediately, I really need to step up our 370 game. As of right now I think I'm snaking anything we do have off the shelf for it. :rofl2:

You won't be missing out on anything at all, except cramps in your left leg and missed shifts :) The 7AT is a very capable paddle-shifter option on the track (although like all tracky things, it needs a few upgrades for perfection: a Setrab cooler and probably GTM's valve body magic).

Thank you for clearing that up, I decided to go without the hassle of a warranty and crossing my fingers with this being a low mile car that I haven't dug my own grave. Valve Body and Oil Cooler are definitely on the list.

If your like the majority of us, our warranties were gone the day we got home with it anyway :icon17:

That's what I'm thinking, I didn't search too hard but I couldnt find any common failures that I was too worried about. Given my history I will most likely be out of this car by 36k. I will have a sad face on if I lose a window regulator or A/C comp tho.

here's to the gamble :ugh2:

I think the odds are in your favor with this car
