New Z Owner: '12 Gun Metallic Touring Sport
 

Well after 2 months of searching (and giving several sales people headaches) I finally found my new toy. 2012 Touring Sport (7AT) with navi with just under 8k miles. Been driving her for 2 weeks now and loving every minute of it!

I'm going to try to resist the urge to mod for now, though looking at this forum is really going to make it difficult! Nothing big though. The only major thing I had in mind was a cat-back exhaust. Really other than that, it is an excellent car as is.

And I tried to resist the urge to mod. But I've already done sway bars, oil cooler is sitting in the closet waiting for install, CF NS wing on order, looking for a good front lip and then exhaust and intake. So uhhh, good luck on holding out. :driving:

lol I went through the same thing with my RSX. I meant for it to be just a bone stock DD, but ended doing a full exhaust swap, intake, coilovers, sways, etc. Still, it made the commute more enjoyable :driving:

And I love the GM color. I knew I wanted it when I saw it. Of course, it made it more difficult to find the car I wanted since it basically cut the market in half. I had to clearly explain to the sales guys it had to be 2011 or later.

Very nice! I was kinda the same as you, I didn't wanna mod too heavily since I drive it every day, but I did order a fast intentions exhaust since they're so beautiful and well put together. I've got something like 7 more weeks to wait for it since its so popular. I'd recommend you check it out in the exhaust section.

Thanks for the recommendation! I've been reading the several threads on it and I'll most likely be going with that when the time comes. Although with a wait time of several months, I might as well order it now. By the time it arrives, I'll probably be bit by the modding bug once again! :D

Well, the "no modding" stance didn't last very long lol. I was ordering an extra keyless entry remote since it only came with one and decided "Well, while I'm at it, might as well get the GT-R map light lenses." That subsequently lead to looking for some K&N drop in filters and finding a good deal on the forum for that and post MAF tubes. And now I'm looking at ordering an FI exhaust this summer for a fall time install. Damn you the370Z.com, damn you to hell...

So yeah, let the money pit of modding begin!!! :shakes head:

I've had mine only a month now. GTM 25R oil cooler, wheel spacers (installed then removed), sway bars (within a week of purchase), Stillen fascia (at the body shop getting painted), CF NS wing (in the box in my closet awaiting good weather for install)...

Point is... Don't fight it. It isn't a good fight and you will always lose. They're like the proverbial "Famous last words". I know, I said it too. ;)
