Girly Z

Hey guys, for starters my name is Shelby and im 19. Yesterday i went and traded in my 07 350z and brought home a 2012 370 with 10k miles.

The day i got my 350.

It was bone stock and my boyfriend and i would take it out to test n tune all the time. Had a blast and the best time we got in the 1/8th was 8.95.

A little over a month ago i got rearended pretty bad.
$7600 in damages. Up until that day i loved my car and would never consider getting rid of it. It was payed off and fun to drive!

Heres the carnage.

I got it back from it being fixed and a week later i decided i didnt want to drive a car with a bad carfax..

So with the help of my Dad co-signing i brought home my new baby!

My boy friend took a peek under it and tells me it has a pretty highend exhaust system
"Fast intentions catback with 12" resonators and high flow cats"
I love the way it sounds and it feels quite a bit faster than my old z.
Besides the exhaust it is completely stock.
Auto transmission and brand new tires.

Anyone have any sugjestions on things i should watch for?
And known problems with the car that others have had?
Hoping to take it friday to the test n tune to see what its got!

I feel your pain Shelby! This hapened to my 350 in November. But very happy with my new 370!

Sorry about the 350 and congrats on the 370. The 2012 does not seem to have most of the issues the 09-10's had but just keep an eye on the oil level.

Watch out with the new found speed.

The 370z is deceptively fast. I always catch myself saying oh **** I'm at 100 already.

Welcome! Sorry about your 350 but I'm sure you'll enjoy the 370 more. It's a step up in refinement and quality.

As red6spd says, most of the kinks have been worked out by 2012. Eg, the steering lock was deleted (mid-2011) and hatch springs upgraded (not sure when).

One annoyance that you may run into is the brake warning light can come on under hard accel if the brake fluid level is just a little bit low (still within the markings on the bowl just not slam full). Not really a problem, it just freaks some ppl out when it happens.
