Hi Michael,

welcome to the forum - flat black is nice but soo sensitive regarding finger prints.

A guy from Berlin/Germany like me...but I moved out of Germany to enjoy a TÜV free country here in NZ but I miss our Autobahn :eekdance: for some high speed drives.

I have a Stillen CBE and Gen3 CAI but I'm still missing some more deeper sound - probably a few visits on a race track will help because just pass the 3k and we have highway limit of 100 only

So hope to catch up with you and have fun in reading here through - there is nothing what you can't find...

Hi all,

Many thanks for welcoming me so nice!! OK, a few more words in reply to the numerious comments.

Of course I do take that thing to the Autobahn and push it (where permitted) until the limiter kicks in, which is around 250 km/h - good that we have the good old Autobahn.

Concerning the exhaust system, I did a typo. I have a NAP (not a CAT) system (NAP-Exhaust Shop - ABE; Attrappe; Auspuff; Einbau; Endrohrvariante; Endtopf; ESD; Endrohr;" Endschalldämpfer"; KAT; Sportauspuff;" Sportschalldämpfer";V2A; Gruppe; rostfrei;" Tuning NAP - Exhaust Duplex Sport - ESD Nissan 370Z R18343), which comes with a small remote control, like a garage door opener, where I can remotely open and close the exhaust valve.

If you want check out the sound, have an ear at this youtube video: 370Z Tuning mit Klappenauspuffanlage - YouTube.

Sorry, I realized the typo when I was too tired already to correct it, which I hvae done now.

The matt finish is not too sensitive at all. It might be that you see fingerprints on it, but how often do you touch your own car where the foil is. Only the trunk might be an issue insofar, because you need to lift the boot lid with your hands after releasing the lock. However, I admit that sometimes there are a few fingerprints, but I don't really care, as most of the time this is the area where the car is slightly dirty as soon as you drive on a wet street.

Yo, coming to an end, one quick question, on which I didn't really find an answer in the forum:
Can anyone give me a brief overview on alternative paddle shifters available on the market (alu, carbon, ...), because there seem not to be any alternative paddle shifter available in Germany. I found the TIDs, but these are terribly expensive. - Thanks.

The emissions are virtually the same. You need a catalyst and its ok. Your car came with one. If you modified the exhaust that might be a problem. Your stock car would pass easily. The clincher might be no headlight washers if you are Xenon equipped and a rear fog light.

WOW I love it, I used to visit Germany and all of my friends there every single year through the 2000's, I miss getting to see those mountains so much! It is easily the most amazing countryside I have ever seen. The alps just blow my mind and you are so lucky to be able to enjoy them with the Z! I hope you really get to enjoy the car as much as you can:)
