Nissan 370Z Forum - 1 week old

I was originally looking for a used 2010+ PW with persimmon, NAV, sport, and MT. I found one in Chicago, but I sort of talked myself out of it. It was winter at the time and I was traveling a lot for work, and I was undecided between Z now or GT-R later.

Fast forward a few months and I posted a WTB hoping for some hits and I also reached out to Lou Fusz asking for him to keep an eye out.

After some research, I found out the combination I was looking for was extremely rare, somewhere less than 30 produced (I was later informed that only 2 were produced in 2012).

Somehow, one of my countless google searches returned a hit for exactly what I wanted at Baker Nissan South in Houston, but it was new, not used. I compared the numbers and given the 0% financing that Nissan was offering, I would be paying just a little bit more per month than a used model (if I ever found it).

After reaching out to Lou Fusz again and asking what we could do to get it here, he worked out a magical deal where we had to ship a car down there in exchange for this one.

Lou made this happen for me. It was more work for him than an off the lot car and he gave it to me at an unbeatable price. I should mention Bill K. at Lou Fusz also put in significant effort on my behalf.

Finally, last Friday I was able to drive it home.

I already had it to my detailer to perform my new car prep and apply opti-coat to everything (paint, trim, wheels inside and out, door jams, engine pieces, etc). It's off for Xpel PPF on Saturday. I have sitting next to me as I type this a GT-R start button, DVD/Nav Bypass kit, and a Stillen front license plate mount.

My first major purchase is going to be license plates (taxes :mad:) next week. After that, persimmon powdercoated calipers.
