Dream Fulfilled

So my dream finally came true today. I bought a 2012 in Gun Metallic with the Sports Package. A few hours later and I still can't believe that she's all mine:

Welcome and congrats! Very nice color choice! Nothing like the feeling of it in your own driveway. Enjoy it in good health.

That would have been my color choice if I didn't get the 40th Anniversary. Good luck and enjoy!

Alchemy 04-30-2012 01:53 PM

Congrats!!!

Zoren 370 04-30-2012 02:43 PM

Congratulation! time to baptize that baby of yours!!!
First step-Cold Air Intakes perhaps?

BTW check your car for paint damage... Gun Metal color has been known to have that problem take it from Lakeshow and me.
But don't fret its still a great fun car to drive.:tiphat:

koufax 04-30-2012 03:04 PM

Yeah, I really haven't thought of mods yet. My first mod may actually be a back camera. Reverse is kinda hard with the blind spots, so I'm assuming that it's just a matter of getting used to. If it's motor work, definitely a cold air intake.

I'll be sure to check for paint damage, though I haven't seen anything as of yet.

Looks like your Z has the sports package right? The back up camera should be included with the sport package.

Man that pic is just sexy looking & the color just shines. I can not wait to wash my ride this Wed after the PPF goes on the front bumper. Man once again nice & congrats. LOVE IT.

Hey cgmg what's a PPF?

Hi

ShinyBlueZ 04-30-2012 11:44 PM

No.. the sports package doesn't come with the rear camera.. that's the navigation package.

But you sorta get used to reversing after a while in the Z. Although I'm pretty OCD and paranoid so I turn my head left and right like 10 times while doing it still :shakes head:

Oh and PPF = paint protection film (stone guard) It's sooooo good hehe

Thanks ShinyB I wonder why my dealer didn't offer me that PPF. Hey mine is sports package and non-navigation but I do have a rear camera that you can visualize in your rear view mirror. Kinda small though but did its job quite right.

PPF is short for Paint Protection Film.

Believe it or not, I took the picture with my Samsung Nexus. The polish really brings out the GM color.

I wouldn't have guessed that you used your cell phone camera. The GM color is probably the best color & shines the best. Blk does so as well, but it is a mother to keep clean.

That is the color that I wanted but the dealer didn't have it. I ended up getting pearl white. That picture is also hot. Just because of what it says... I used it as my screen saver. Some people dream of lamborghini's and ferrari's. I dreamed of Z's. With a little work and money under the hood, I could give those cars a run for their money. Lol

Tusabe 05-01-2012 10:47 AM

Ps (and still would spend less than them for my ride!)

I went to Glendale Nissan before I went to Fontana Nissan to test drive the car. All the Zs that they had in stock were all flat out dirty. The Black Z was sooooooo dirty that it even had mud on the rims. How dare they display their lineup like that?

koufax 05-03-2012 01:54 AM

So I am hearing a small little rattling sound when I shift from 1st to 2nd, but not during any of my other shifts. Is this normal?

k20z3 05-03-2012 02:12 AM

Congrats more pics!
