Noob question

So I just bought my first Z ever about two weeks ago. Its a black 09 base 6 speed. Since i've been on the forum I cant stop thinking of what I want to do to it, however my car is still under warranty and im not sure if I wanna take a chance and not be covered on something. I was looking on the Nissan USA website and noticed that they sell stuff like Nismo CBE and coilovers which are some of the thing id like to do. SOOOOOO my question is, is it possible to put Nismo parts on a base model and will Nissan put them on for me so I can stay covered. I know there are better brands out there than Nismo but I kinda wanna start small first. I'd really appreciate your guys feedback thanks

No mod can void your warranty unless that mod specifically impacted the defect. i.e. You did a brake upgrade, and your brake system goes tits up. So there's not much to worry about if you're just doing basic bolt on breather mods.

As for Nismo parts, most installers will do those parts and probably still cover them under warranty if installed at the dealer. But nismo parts are not worth the cost vs gain. There's much better out there for the same price if not slightly more or less.

This is very true. Raymondo, I have full bolt ons, a tune and other stuff and I just had a new transmission put in under warranty on Monday. They didnt even mention my mods. Mod away. Dont be frightened:tup:

Hey devil dog, you are not the only one with this fear. As long as you don't try and put a 1000hp shot of nitrous on it or something like that which is obviously harmful, then you are free to mod till your pockets are empty. Semper Fi brother!:usa:

thanks you guys, This is my daily driver so I would jus want to do some bolt on's and maybe some exterior mods but you guys pretty much cleared up all my concerns, I think as long as I have the work done from a good shop I should be good to go, Thanks OOO and ZilverZ I've been following your build and all I can say is WoW! great build, and noticed you were also a Marine SEMPER FIDELIS

Nismo parts cost an arm and a leg, but look amazing though. Unless they can prove your aftermarket bumper blew your transmission, you should be fine.
