My installer deals with a lot of Ferrari, Lambo, and owns things like Vipers, etc.
His comment was "It's very nice, but the gears seemed "tight, clunky"" and he also mentioned the clutch. I agree, the clutch is an acquired taste. I have a spring on order from a member here.

Looks awesome man

Z06 vs. 370Z so far...

I love the touch-screen/voice control NAV. I like the feel of the Suede door panels and seat inserts set in the nicely contoured seats (although it is synthetic, it feels the same, so I don't care, probably easier to keep clean and wears better, anyhow).
I love it. Drove it for a few hours today and my back feels fine, unlike in my Z06. Of course, that is personal and everyone has their like/dislike. I do know the seat didn't scoot around when I took a corner, and i liked that. Also, XM>Sirius, by far! (just an un-related side-note, I guess).

Body panels have a lot more care taken in their alignment, it seems. Gaps are tighter, panels more precise. Variance from Z to Z is 'nil.

On to performance:

I have found the 370Z so far to be more "tossable", it is MUCH easier to enter corners with (easier to "aim"), and it behaves similar to the corvette near the limits of traction regarding understeer.

I have not taken it above 4K rpm yet due to following proper break-in, but I rolled onto it below that, and it reminded me STRONGLY of my WS6, which is to say, of a C5 corvette, in the acceleration department, as best I could tell loafing about and just rolling into it.

I have also not bedded in the brakes, as Akebono recommends 500 miles of "normal" driving before doing so.

Again, I am following the rules. Everyone has an OPINION, but there is only 1 recommendation from Nissan (and GM for that matter).

The seat held me VERY securely, but I miss the "ratcheting" feature of the Domestic car's seatbelts (Challenger has this too).

Road noise is about 90% what it is in the Z06, this surprised me, as the suspension is softer, and I actually like this, but the Bridgestone Potenza RE50A's are nice tires, albeit loud. Any tire is loud on concrete, I have found, and that's all our roads are made of here. Dumpy little town, not either car's fault.

I like the softer suspension because it gives more feed-back to someone like me, who is not a professional driver. It's just one more communication line the car has with me saying "We are "here" in regards to--the limit--of where we can go."

The shifter is more precise. Not like a BMW, but better than my Z06 was. The Rev-match is nice. It's going to make me lazy, though.

Steering is very nice, but at low speeds feels a bit "light" coming from the Z06. The car is MUCH MORE nimble in a parking-lot even though it's the same exact size as the Z06 nearly. Also, the back-up camera on 7" color display is really cool, especially with the predictive path "lines" that curve with the steering-wheel input. Really neat.

Acceleration is a ringer for the C5, but the C6 and especially C6Z will slaughter this car in some straight-up freeway romp.

Handling, I feel is a good compromise. Very capable, but not quite as jarring. If you plan to daily the car and live in a poor state like Louisiana or something, it's a bonus.

A nice review -- glad to hear you are liking it

At the risk of going off topic -- yes, OEM recommended method of break-in... zero oil consumption. A coincidence? Probably not.

Pic looks fine to me. Glad you're enjoying your new Z.
