Hey folks, first off wanted to thank you guys for all you've written here, as it definitely helped me as a lurker while researching my Z.

Just picked it up today, pre-owned 2009 Touring/Sport with 12k miles... I was going with Persimmon or bust (exterior color wasn't as big a deal), and luckily a car popped up about an hour away from me.

I did want to bring up an issue: I noticed a high-frequency ringing (which has been covered in this thread), and while digging through all that info, I read that a guy on a G37 forum just posted something a few weeks ago that I hadn't seen anyone mention here yet:

"...apparently the database from the factory says that my car has intelligent cruise control, which it doesn't. Once they realized this, they were able to install the correct ECM with high-frequency fix. I've been running with this new ECM for several months, and it appears that the noise is pretty much gone..."

Thoughts? Are some of you still having this issue? Other than that, and the immense blind spot, I love it.

Ther's a thread on this but basically get the dealer to replace the ECU - new ones are built to prevent whine from caps inside.

Welcome, and nice interior color btw :)

Ah, thought I'd read all the threads on it but didn't see a clear solution.

And I was hoping for black/persimmon myself, but settled on the exterior to avoid having to get a car shipped sight unseen since I was going pre-owned. So, kudos on your combo too
