Awesome man. There seem to be a lot of Northern owners. Have fun and be safe

You should consider a clear bra to protect the paint up front where the brunt of chips will occur, esp since your car is still so new. I drove about 900 miles home from picking up my Z and it has a chip already.

An investment in quality products for washing and protecting the paint would also be a good idea for a dark car. I use Zaino products, Griots is also great. There is always the more accessible Mothers/Meguiers products which I've never used.

Lay down cleaner/polish/sealer with a soft/clean pad and always buff with a very soft cotton towel, remove the tags from them too as they will cause marring in the clear coat on a dark car.

Red is almost as bad...

You're gonna love the first sunny day/dry pavement drive!!

Thanks for the warm words haggomyeggo! :)
I am looking forward to test drive without VDC in an empty parking lot when the weather is good. Weather here has been bad lately. Snow this morning, then hail in the evening. Very friendly weather for my new car, LOL!

supunna_picta, thanks for the info. I got a tiny dust speck size chip on my hood already. I'm waiting on some answers from the dealer before I go and wash/polish/seal my car's paint. I just need to fix that tiny chip first.
I am eager to get out when it gets sunny and warmer. It's aggravating not being able to drive in perfect weather.
