First day feedback

So yesterday, was the first day driving the 370 (after driving Civic Hybrid for 4 years).....

What a rush.... Even though I had to keep it under 4000 RPM for break in, I got to play a little with the car.... (went to 4500 RPM) couple of times.....

The acceleration was FREAKING AMAZING..... I drove on PCH, where the speed limit is 60, in places where driving before in the Civic Hybrid felt fast.... Boy was I in for a surprise... At 60 I felt like I was barely moving.... there was so much left....

The manual was also something I need to get used to again. I drove manual years ago in a Camaro Z28, but had auto trannys for my last 2 cars.... The Nissan Clutch pedal is a bit heavy....

The MPG was also a bit scare (after getting about 40 in the hybrid) ... getting 13MPG... (only 80 miles on the car). Probably due to break in, and very short distances driven thus far.

Car came without floor mats, so I ordered Nismo mats for $80 from the link in the forumz... now driving with stupid paper mats.....

Today taking the Z for a freeway ride... it will be hard keeping it under 4000 RPM......

Nice. yea your mpg will improve to at least 18. BTW if you are concerned about gas mileage etc, just try and figure out how much you expect to drive the car, figure 18 mpg for a low end ballpark and then calculate your estimated annual fuel cost based on how much you think you'll pay on average per fill up, and then you will have a good idea of how much gas you'll use per year and how much it'll cost you. Then, you can forget about it and enjoy the car and just know that is how much it will cost instead of watching the MPG meter change as you go up a hill or give it gas and go

I was not driving hybrid because of trying to save gas or be green. In ca, if you had a hybrid you could get a sticker and drive in carpool/HOV lane alone. The program expires by end of this year.

I used to have fast cars, owned a camaro Z28, old porshe, and even a Gas eating dodge ram 4x4.

Hi Everyone....

So I had a weird day yesterday. I owned a Honda Civic Hybrid. It had 106K miles, and I knew that the HYBRID battery ($3000) will need to be replaced soon. So i decided to go to a Toyota dealer and pick me up a new Prius. Went to Toyota, drove Prius and realized that I look like a total looser driving it.....

So to make a long story short..... drove to a Nissan Dealer, (without wife) and picked up a 2010 Black 370Z with Sports Package and MT. Wife was not happy, but in California there is no "cooling off" period, hence I am now "stuck" with a Z350 for next 5 years. :icon18::icon18:

I think I am gonna enjoy this......

Driving Hybrids to be Green is one thing but it is not as economical as car companies want you to think they are. A friend has a Civic Hybrid and her battery cost $3K+ to replace just 3 months out of warranty.

Enjoy the Z!

biggest upgrade ever?

I don't know which would be a better pic, the new 370 or the look on wifey's face!
