New 40th Anniv Owner :)

Hey guys! I just made a deal on a 40th anniversary edition! My local dealer is having the car delivered from another lot tomorrow. I got a great deal (i think) as well -- $36.4K + TTL @ 3.5% financing for 72 months. I wanted to use robert's VPP but just found out about the plan today. Anyways, I will post pics as soon as I get the car! I plan to actually pick the car up on Friday.

Congrats, I just picked up one myself around the same price, good luck with it!

Congrats to you as well! I actually had a deal going with another dealer at 35.6K, and they would actually tow my vehicle from Indiana and deliver to me...crazy good deal. But, I decided to check the better business bureau (BBB), and their rating was an F! Crazy. So I stuck with the dealership i've been going to for years, and paid a bit more. I think it's the right decision in the end.

Looks like the bank came through on better financing. Excellent.

Just remember that your bank will usually beat any dealership on a non-incentivised car. If you bank with them and set up direct payment they give you a point or so for each. Of course if the dealer has a factory incentive finance package (like 0%) they'll beat the bank.

Yea.. I'm definitely going to go to the bank first next time unless the dealers are offering special financing..

I'm going to try and refinance.. we'll see how that works out..

Xan 04-01-2010 05:34 PM

Check aaa.com, I got 3.09% there... You can even get that on a re-finance...

Captainstevo 04-02-2010 12:06 PM

Actually, the 3.5% was through 5/3 bank, but I got that rate through the dealership. I couldn't believe it myself.
